My experience with Todd Berry at Butler Toyota was very positive, he is very knowledgeable and went out of his way to provide us with the vehicle that fit our needs and budget. Overall, I had a good experience at Butler Toyota. I really enjoyed working with Mike. He was very relaxed, approachable and not pushy. I worked with Todd Berry on the day of the sale. Todd was willing to find out answers to questions I had, however he did not seem to be knowledgeable on the entire selling process. The customer service was fantastic. Specifically, it was pouring down rain when I came in to trade in my lease. Mr. Skinner had already pulled in 2 vehicles into the garage area so we could look in a clean pouring down rain when I came in to trade in my lease. A couple months ago I found myself in a bind and in need of a car with a quickness so I fired off an email to Mr. Skinner with what I was looking for and my price range and the very next day I was driving h of a car with a quickness so I fired off an email to Mr. Skinner with what I was looking for and my price range and the very next day I was driving home in my new truck. I think I spent maybe two hours at the dealership between the test drive and filling out all the paperwork - pretty quick in my experience. I've bought my share of cars and this was, by far, the best experience I've had at a dealership. No high pressure sales tactics, nobody hassling me over my decision to forgo the underbody protection, even gave me a good deal on the trade-in. I've recommended the dealership and Andy specifically to my friends because of my experience. More
I was in the market for a used Toyota Highlander. This dealership had a black one and I came over on my lunch to test drive the car. I was very impressed with Kathleen VanClean the selling agent. She had the car all warmed up for me and ready to test drive. She was very nice and professional. They allowed me to keep the car over the Thanksgiving holiday. I came back a couple of days later and told her I loved the car but was unsure I would get financed. Kathleen suggested we try so I did. Max Akrim the business manager got me approved, but with a high APR. I was told that as a condition of the loan I had to get extended warranty. I signed the paperwork for the car and said my husband would be back to sign the paperwork later. I later found out that an extended warranty is never a condition of any loan. I felt as though they took advantage of me by trying to get me to get the extended warranty. I didn't know any better. I found out that selling an extended warranty is a way for dealers/finance managers to make more money off the sale. I ended up getting my down payment back from this dealer and am now looking for a car with another dealer. More
My husband and I had been in the market for a new car for quite some time. We had visited dealerships all throughout Indianapolis and other areas throughout the state. I must say that we are hard people to quite some time. We had visited dealerships all throughout Indianapolis and other areas throughout the state. I must say that we are hard people to please. We were wanting a fairly specific model, color, and features that was nearly impossible to find, but Butler by far had the largest selection of Camrys in the Indianapolis area. Additionally, our salesperson, Chris Combs, was exceptional. He was enthusiastic and easy to work with. Of note, the financial officer, Michael Higgins, was also friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely come back to Butler in the future and would recommend this dealership to anyone. We especially recommend working with Chris, who certainly made our first vehicle purchase as a couple an enjoyable one. More
