Online purchase of used car At first the dealership *seemed* good. We live in Maine, wanted to purchase a specific EV vehicle. Which meant we had to look all over the USA. We had At first the dealership *seemed* good. We live in Maine, wanted to purchase a specific EV vehicle. Which meant we had to look all over the USA. We had a specific price point which was accommodated by this dealership, so for that I will give them a good review. They didn't disclose vehicle damage. There is a spot on the car where the paint is missing (down to the steel) larger than two quarters which they are calling "normal wear and tear" which was never sent to us via photo etc. Why I'm frustrated. We purchased the vehicle and it needed to be shipped to our house in Maine. We were told that the vehicle was charged before it got onto truck. The dealer took 2 days before getting back to us with a tracking number for the shipping company. The shipping company called us 10:30pm on Monday to tell us the driver was a commercial driver and couldn't deliver it to our residence, and that we had to be there to sign for the vehicle. Well then the company tells us that the vehicle was not charged at all, and that the driver has been jump starting it every stop along the way (which gives the vehicle just enough charge to drive on/off the truck) THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND SHORTENS BATTERY LIFE ECT. So the driver at 10:30pm on Monday tells my husband he doesn't have jumper cables, the car isn't charged and we need to meet him at a commercial place at 7am with a car charger and jumper cables which we don't have. So we had to wake up our two kids under the age of two, call out of work, and meet this driver three towns away (45 mins from our house each way) plus pick up jumper cables, and then wait 3 hours for the car to charge enough to get it home. Well we wait a week for any kind of follow up from the dealership (which we never received) finally my husband reaches out to the sales rep to tell him what happened, and we get no response other than He gave us the shipping tracking number and that the damage was normal wear and tear. WE ARE VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE LACK OF COMPASSION THEY HAD FOR OUR WASTED TIME and MISSED WORK. ALSO THEY HAVE NOT ASKED FOR ANY PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGE (JUST INCASE THIS WAS ADDITIONAL DAMAGE CAUSED BY SHIPPING). I would think that we would have received some kind of apology or paint sent to us so we can fix it before it rusts or something for all our wasted time with the shipping company they chose. PLUS WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ALL THAT JUMPSTARTING IS GOING TO DO TO THIS ELECTRIC VEHICLE LONG TERM. The first few days the vehicle had battery lights on etc. TO THIS DAY WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR ANYONE AT THE DEALERSHIP TO REACH OUT TO US. More
