The place was filled with customers, and very busy. (You would think that they were giving the Subaru's away for free.) I mentioned to Howard that one of my friends sent me there who purchased a Subaru from him, and was very happy with the way she was treated, and insisted that I ask for Howard. He modestly smiled and said "I get that a lot, please sit down" and he started to explain what makes both Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru so special and why my friend recommended that I ask for him. You see they are salaried employees and weather you purchase a new or pre-owned Subaru, his goal was to educate me on what makes Subaru so unique, and why Bill Kolb Subaru is so special. Though it was so busy, Howard patently explained to me all the features that make the Subaru so unique. Howard asked me what features, and options are important to me in a vehicle, assessed my needs, and demonstrated the specific vehicle that met my criteria. After a through and long demonstration drive, I was sold. ( I drove the new 2015 Subaru Legacy) Howard explained to me in detail all the safety features and benefits in simple terms and how they relate to my needs. I told him that I was sold and was ready to make my informed educated purchase. Howard stated that even though I chose the right car for my needs, he insisted on giving me a full tour of his dealership. Even though the dealership was very busy Howard took the extra time to give me a full tour of his service department and comfortable customer lounge. He began to explain why his dealership is different and special. In summary, Buying a Subaru from "Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru" is unique,....having Howard Bonfield as your salesperson is truely a higher level of service. More

He communicated very well and was very responsible in terms of getting all of the paperwork together promptly and clearly. There were no price games or issues, and they took the car to an independent mechanic so that we could get the car checked out. They immediately fixed the minor issues that the car had and I picked it up the next day. Everyone at the dealership was helpful and polite, and they gave us a good price on the car. Stuart explained each piece of paperwork, and there were no last minute surprises. Overall, a very pleasant car-buying experience. Thank you! More

Normally, customers are treated in a condescending way as if dealer is giving away the car for free. Since our previous experience was not pleasant so we decided to deal with car buying over the phone. After speaking to at least a dozen of the dealerships, 4 are just near our home, we decided to go ahead with Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru which is a little far and even though their prices are reasonable but not very competitive. I must tell you that our car buying experience at Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru was unexpectedly best we ever had. Sonny Ripps was not our sales person but he was our sales adviser and is the BEST. He is very pleasant, patient and not push over. We felt that we were never pressured at any given time during the entire car buying process. He has a vast knowledge of the product- Subaru cars. Sonny explained us everything so thoroughly. He went out of his way when we picked up the car (in the rain!) to take us through all the features and operations of the car, and made sure we were comfortable with everything before we leave the dealership. I would recommend Sonny and Bill Kolb Subaru as friendly and great at creating a completely comfortable purchasing experience. More

I recommend one visit Howard but also shop around at other dealers for the best price as Kolb prices are higher than other Subaru dealers in the area. This will give you more leverage in discussing price or negotiating the value of a trade-in. More

I am not an easy customer.....I was nervous and he made me comfortable. He took the time to show me multiple models of vehicles as well as showing me the cars that they had available right there. Howard never pressured me or try to convince me to to sign anything. I felt he was listening to my concerns and catering this sale exactly to my needs. He was patient, kind. understanding and took the time to completely answer all of my many questions. The car that I wound up buying from Howard was exactly what I needed, exactly what I wanted and certainly fit within my budget. I could not imagine a deal going much smoother than it did. I believe this is because my salesman was Howard. Even after my car was delivered Howard has called to make sure I did not have any other questions. I would highly recommend Howard as a salesman at this dealership. Especially if you feel that you need a dedicated salesman and someone who is interested in you and not just a sale. More

I was lucky enough to get Howard Bonfield as my sales adviser. He took the time to show me around the dealership as well as show me a number of cars that they had available. Howard never pressured me or try to convince to to sign the contract. Rather, he was patient, understanding and took the time time to completely answer all of my many questions. The car that I bought from Howard was perfect and Howard already called to make sure I did not have anymore questions. I would not hesitate to recommend Howard or the dealership. More
