"Overall... a good experience..." with a *Caveat "Overall... a good experience... A 5 Star experience, in fact, with a *Caveat...." My wife and I found our GMC Acadia Denali by doing a web search for "Overall... a good experience... A 5 Star experience, in fact, with a *Caveat...." My wife and I found our GMC Acadia Denali by doing a web search for "used cars for sale". We found our car on the iSeeCars site. We never went to the BillLukeTempe.com website because we had a dinner appointment with family in Tempe, and we never saw or found a "link" to do so. We did click on the "Check Availability" tab on iSeeCars site, which included the vehicle description, Internet price and our contact info, which we filled out and "sent". We missed the call and email reply because we were out and had our phones muted, for family time. We left and went by Bill Luke Tempe, because we were in south Tempe and we live in the far northwest valley. We drove in, saw the car and proceeded to look for someone, as it was 8pm. Bruce Mortensen graciously came out and asked if he could help us? We told him our story of locating this Denali via the internet and that we had not gotten a reply yet. (Remember, our phones were muted}. Bruce was very polite, professional and accommodating, answering our questions, bringing the car around into the lights for us to look at (always with a smile) and accompanying us on a short test-drive. Bruce continued to be unlike the "typical" or the "stereotype" car salesman. He made us feel at ease and Welcomed into the Bill Luke Tempe property. He produced "numbers" for us. But the stated selling price was $1000 above the price we saw on the iSeeCars site (which site he wasn't aware of, but he isn't tied to the Internet Sales side of the business, he said). Bruce said we could have clicked thru several pages of the "Bill Luke.com website and it would have explained the "everybody price" and the "Finance Price". We had never clicked on their site, as there was no "link" obvious to us. Anyway, we decided to sleep on it. I called Bruce early Friday morning, politely explained our dilemma and how we felt about the pricing SNAFU and the car purchase. I advised that we would buy the car if we could address the "cash price" penalty (we were paying cash) and the "Finance Price". Bruce graciously said he would see what could be done. Bruce called me back shortly (very quickly actually) after investigating the iSeeCars website, and talking to his Manager. They offered us a solution to "meet in the middle" regarding the difference in Internet pricing not noted on the iSeeCars website. We wanted the Denali, they "wanted our business" and we felt Bruce & his manager had attempted a workable solution, short of selling us the car for the "Finance" price "discount. I accepted the deal. I should have first gone onto their Bill Luke Tempe website to see other "caveats" of the car sales, shame on me, LOL. But I trusted Bruce and felt rightfully so to trust him and the dealership. We met at the agreed time and proceeded to close the deal. Again Bruce was very professional, accommodating, answered more of our questions and proceeded to get the deal "processed" including taking our Cashiers Check, signing a document that made it clear that they didn't "Owe us anymore" and "We owed nothing more". We were taken into Tommy's office, a youthful, energetic professional who made you feel comfortable and informed, while electronically signing the other sales and Title documents, offering the usual "extended warranty" deals, etc and then produced our signed documents to us on a thumb drive. We were handed back over to a smiling Bruce when we gave him the Temp License Plate, Bruce saying he would go place that on our new car and drive it around front to deliver our new pride and joy to us!!! So far, mostly a very good experience, for a car dealership experience. ;) Bruce met us, handed our key fob to me.... wait, only 1 key fob. This turns out to be a $200 mistake for us, because we failed to go to the Bill Luke Tempe.com and "read the disclaimers" on purchasing a used vehicle from them! Bruce, being his observant and cordial, smiling self, seeing the expression on my face and replying to yet another question from me, regarding only one key fob, quickly volunteered a name and contact number for a business that could provide a second FOB for less than the $200 I stated (from a past experience of replacing a child's lost key fob to their car). ;) So I know this review is long, sorry! I'm explaining our process and experience. LOL I am still giving them a 5 star Review, which in reality should be at least a 5 minus to a 4 plus... only for going thru 2 to 3 "surprises" during this process. One would expect being at a "5 Star, Family-owned dealership Group" that their customer would expect to close a deal on an expensive, almost and like-new used car like this Acadia Denali, with TWO programmed key fobs, even IF the car (This car was a lease return) came to them missing one FOB! This to relieve Dealer "anxiety" or surprises, that a LOT of folks have. Overall though... a GREAT experience buying this Denali thru an experienced and cordial Bruce, other than a couple of hiccups. So, a 5 minus Star review, with a *Caveat. Would we purchase thru or RECOMMEND Bruce Mortensen and any of the Bill Luke Dealerships again? SURE!!! It was a much better overall experience than most times at any dealership. In fact, we are also considering making a purchase in the near future for a 2019 or 2020 "loaded" RAM 350 crew-cab dually. We will definitely consider Bill Luke again for that purchase and maybe Bruce could help us with that?! But hopefully we get two key fobs this time!!!??? LOL Have a great day everyone....and Thanks again to Bruce Mortensen, Tommy, the sales manager (sorry, didn't get his name). We look forward to enjoying our "like-new" 2017 GMC Acadia Denali (with ONE key fob) for a long time! Bill Luke was a great experience, I looked at an Alpha Romeo Giulia and planned on purchasing 2-3 months out.
