I have a medical illness and offered to pay full price cash for a vehicle they were selling. I live 60 miles away and they were told I could only come in once they told me if they could do a warrantee or cash for a vehicle they were selling. At first, he acted like he couldn’t hear anything, then later admitted it was a flex pipe rattle but said it was "nothing to worry about." They promised to fix it. While fixing the noise, they told me the starter motor was failing—something they never disclosed before selling me the car. Their excuse? "It’s a used car, so it happens." The repair cost? $1,000! After they "fixed" it, the car made even more noise while accelerating, and now the starter wasn’t working properly. Since I work during the day, I had to bring it back in the evening, but all the service people had left. I had to take a day off work just to bring it back in the morning. Once again, they sent the same mechanic, who pretended not to hear the noise even though it was louder than before. When I asked to speak to the manager, Mason, they just pointed me to someone else. In the end, I had no choice but to pay another $1,000 to fix the starter, and the noise is still there! They refused to take responsibility, even though I reported the issue the next day. I accompanied my fiancé to help her purchase a pre-owned 2016 Honda H disappointment with a recent experience at Bill Page Honda on November 4, 2024. I accompanied my fiancé to help her purchase a pre-owned 2016 Honda HR-V and was initially assisted by Jon Vu. Unfortunately, multiple issues arose during our visit, leading to a sense of mistrust and disrespect. After agreeing on a price and preparing to complete the paperwork, I discovered discrepancies in the car's accident history. Jon had informed us that the vehicle had only one minor accident, but further investigation revealed three accidents (two minor and one moderate). Given the situation, I felt it necessary to bring to your attention Virginia Code § 18.2-95, which addresses larceny by false pretense. Misrepresenting the history of a vehicle could fall under fraudulent practices, which carry serious implications under Virginia law. Additionally, when we engaged with the financial manager, Mohama, I felt that my role in supporting my fiancé was not respected. Despite being a loyal customer, with over three previous purchases from Bill Page Honda, I was informed that I "was not in a position to represent her." Moreover, I was denied clear, written information about rates and terms, with only verbal summaries provided. When I mentioned that we did not need additional coverage, Jon stated, “I am not talking to you; I am talking to your fiancé.” The entire experience, lasting over five hours, was deeply disappointing.
