I took my new Camry to the service department to have nitrogen added to my tires and was told that they only fill them one time per year. The tires were low when I bought it two weeks ago. On another vis nitrogen added to my tires and was told that they only fill them one time per year. The tires were low when I bought it two weeks ago. On another visit just one week later I took my car back because the factory tint was peeling and had bubbles. They did a poor job of fixing the window tint and scratched the door. I am very unhappy with their parts and repair department. I will be finding another dealer to do my maintenance and warranty work. More

I arrived ten minutes early and they checked in my vehicle. I told them I would be waiting for it to get done. After 1 hour and 45 minutes I went to check to see what was taking so long and was told my vehicle had not even been started yet. The service rep said they were behind schedule and had been all day. After another hour they called and told me my car was done. The service rep then walked me out to their finished service lot only to discover my car was not there. The service rep said they would go find it and then shortly returned back to me to say that my car was not done that they messed up which car was completed. Finally, after over 3 hours they were able to complete a simple oil change and tire rotation. I told the service rep that if they are behind why don't they call and tell the customer so they can come in when the car will actually be serviced. The response was that is a good idea. I also asked why I wasn't told when I checked in that they were so far behind and received no answer. I bet if I came in 3 hours late for my scheduled appointment they would have refused to complete my car that day. However, they seem perfectly okay with giving me the time they want me to come in and then be so far behind it takes them 3 hours to do a 45 minute job all while not mentioning anything to me the customer. The only reason I gave them a one star rating is because there was not a lower option. More

They recharge Have had some problems back with my Celica a/c. They did add freon, but never checked for leaks. A few weeks, later, jad to bring it back. They recharged me again for freon, whick came out close,to a $100. Today brought the Prius in as TPMS light came on and stayed on after checking all tire pressure. Needed to replace one sensor. After waiting over two hours for the job the brought the car back.. They let the battery run down. I feel every time we go there, they find faults somewhere else. They also charge over $100 more that they did not tell us about it. More

When I made the appointment I specifically asked for synthetic oil. I dropped the vehicle off and waited for about 2 hours. I talked to the service coordinator and asked if they put synthetic in and he said "its all synthetic". When driving home I noticed some clear drops on the windshield and thought maybe it was water and turned on the wipers. The liquid was not water as it smeared across the windshield. I pulled over and opened the hood to find that the person who worked on my car had splattered oil all over the engine compartment and up into the wiper area and didn't even attempt to clean it up! I called the dealer spoke to the service coordinator and the service manager. The manager made arrangements for me to drop the vehicle off the next morning at 9am to get the engine cleaned up. That evening i checked the part number of the oil on the print out and found it in fact WAS NOT synthetic (5W30 bulk)- although the service coordinator said it was all synthetic. I called and left a message with the service manager. When I arrived the next morning and pulled the vehicle into the garage I popped the hood and showed it to the toyota service folks standing there - they couldn't believe the work was done that way. The service manager came over talked to me and then instructed the service folks to get the engine and other areas cleaned up and also replace the oil with 0W20 synthetic. I was given a ride home and picked up about 5-1/2 hours later. When I arrived I asked the the new service coordinator if everything was done and he agreed. I asked him if the 0W20 was ok for my engine which calls for 5W30. He said yes. I looked over the engine and it was cleaned up although they left the dirty paper mat in the car. Well, I drove home and checked the owners manual and it states that 5W30 is the recommended oil and use of 10W30 for a temporary period is ok as long as it is changed out. Several web sites confirmed this. I called the dealer the next day, Saturday 10 August and after 3 calls got hold of a service coordinator. I told them I need to get a print out of the service that was done on Friday 9 August. They mentioned that 0W20 was used and would print out the service record. When I arrived later in the afternoon the print out was there but it was dated from Thursday 8 August showing 5W30 was used. I asked for the service record from 9 August and the service coordinator said this is what I'm getting and it is the holy grail! What a farce - I had some choice words to say to him. Anyway I plan to pursue this tomorrow to see how this horror story continues to unfold. I have had a number of nagging issues with service at Bill Penney over the past several years with 3 toyota vehicles and this tops them all. I am done with them and the next time I need a new toyota vehicle I will avoid Bill Penney at all costs... More
Service is Awful - Quality of Work is Horrible My latest experience with Bill Penney's service department will be my last. Arrived early for an 8 AM appointment for a tire rotation and to check a leak in a tire on my wife's car. After dropping the car off, I took my car to another dealership in town for an oil change and tire rotation. I arrived at the other dealership with no appointment and they took my car immediately in and completed this service plus a car wash and vacuum within an hour and a half. Went home and waited for 7 and a half hours to finally go back to Bill Penney and check on my wife's car. During the day I called 3 different times and left a message. I was never talked to nor was my message returned. When my wife and I arrived at the service department, we were told that her car had been "lost" in the lot. After a very insincere apology and management blaming the technicians for the failure, we waited until around the time that they closed to get the car back. The next morning, the tire light came back on. Not only did it take a full 8 hours to rotate the tires (incorrectly based on the new location of the leak) and attempt to patch a leak, but they were not able to actually get anything fixed. This is just the last in a series of incredibly poor service. This is currently the worst Toyota service department that I have ever worked with. We are done with Bill Penney. If regular customers continue to be treated this way, they will leave. As Huntsville grows, so will the competition and Bill Penney should not take business for granted. More
Service department management is absolutely horrible Probably one of the worst Toyota dealerships I have ever experienced. Especially the management in service. My job is to travel around and go to lots Probably one of the worst Toyota dealerships I have ever experienced. Especially the management in service. My job is to travel around and go to lots of different dealers for reviews on service so I have had experience at quite a few dealerships. The way I was treated here was shocking. I personally own and drive a Toyota and I'm so glad this isn't how my local Toyota dealership operates. Also in the service lanes there were technicians talking and walking around very unprofessionally. Extreme vulgar language with quite a few kids around was sickening. But on the other note I was in for just a basic oil change service that took almost 3 hours to complete which I was completely patient about. It was just giving me time to get my review prepped. The two times I asked about my vehicle I got told to hold on both times while phone calls were being made back to back. Of course I was told management was too busy at the time to even speak to about my issues. Which is ridiculous being a paying customer. I won't be back and I'm sure this place could care less especially by the way I was treated. If I would have heard the language and how these "technicians" were carrying themselves I would have never signed the paper to have them even touch my car. Unbelievable garbage service. More

This was s I tried to get service after I bought a 2018 Toyota corolla. This was a certified vehicle with Toyota care and i had to but Penney Perks. This was supposed to be a free service in order to make me a customer of their service department. First, I attempted of call and make an appointment. They told me just to come in. So, I tried that. I pulled into the lane I was directed to, and was ignored for about 15 minutes while standing next to my car while people were seen who pulled in behind me. So, I stepped into the service department office and was again ignored for at least another 15 minutes. During this time, they moved my car without even talking to me, much less asking me. The only time I was acknowledged was when I had to move out of another customers way when they came in after me and was seen before me. This is while several service advisors were texting and not with any customers. When I was finally seen, it went fine, but it was rediculous and made me angry that other people walked up and we're acknowledged and helped before I was when they arrived after me. If it weren't for Douglas and Libby finally recognizing that there was a human being standing right in front of them, I might have stood there all day. I mean someone had the nerve to move my car out of the way. Right?!?!?! The point is, although they did a good job with the service, they are terribly managed or not managed at all. I would avoid going there if you value your time and expect to be seen in the order.I which you arrived. More
BILL PENNEY SOLD US A LEMON BILL PENNEY TOYOTA OF HUNTSVILLE SOLD MY WIFE AND I A LEMON. My wife and I purchased a new 2018 Toyota 4Runner off of Bill Penney's lot Oct 2018 with BILL PENNEY TOYOTA OF HUNTSVILLE SOLD MY WIFE AND I A LEMON. My wife and I purchased a new 2018 Toyota 4Runner off of Bill Penney's lot Oct 2018 with automatic running boards. Shortly after our purchase we started noticing that the automatic running boards would deploy and/or retract randomly. We took it into Bill Penney numerous times to fix and they finally replaced the ECU. After "the fix" the running boards were still having issues with randomly deploying and/or retracting. We went to Bill Penney for them to replace our vehicle with another one with static running boards because it was not only a huge safety issue for us, but they also sold us a lemon. After doing extensive research on the Internet we found out that 2012-2017 Toyota 4Runners with automatic running boards had issues with randomly deploying and retracting. In fact it was so bad Toyota issued a Technical Service Bulletin or T.S.B. to remove and replace the ECU unit. Bill Penney sold us a lemon and would not do anything to fairly resolve this issue even though it is a huge safety issue to us. We are going to the Alabama Attorney General and present our case concerning the Alabama Lemon law. If this review had an option for zero stars we would pick that one instead of the one star. Please beware of Bill Penney Toyota, the New Car Manager stated to us during our visit to try and replace with another 4Runner and I quote "We don't build the car". This is like saying that Toyota builds the cars and Bill Penney sells them, but Bill Penney does not have any accountability after the sell. Stay away from Bill Penney!! More
