I am writing to formally escalate a serious and unresolved issue regarding my vehicle, and the lack of meaningful action taken by both General Motors (GM) and an authorized dealership Blade Chevrol unresolved issue regarding my vehicle, and the lack of meaningful action taken by both General Motors (GM) and an authorized dealership Blade Chevrolet. My case is not isolated, it mirrors the experience of thousands of other GM customers facing the same known mechanical defect, as widely documented in online forums and communities. On February 25, 2025, I purchased a used 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali with approximately 25,000 miles from a dealership. The vehicle included the original factory warranty, and I also purchased an extended warranty for additional coverage. On April 25, 2025, at approximately 26,000 miles, the truck unexpectedly entered limp mode and the check engine light came on while I was driving with my children causing me to almost get rear ended. Please note—this truck is equipped with the Allison Transmission, which is marketed as one of the most reliable transmissions available. I immediately took the vehicle to Blade Chevrolet in Mount Vernon WA, the nearest dealership, where it remained for nearly a week before a diagnostic was completed. I was informed by the lead mechanic, Jason Visten, that the issue was a failed valve body solenoid #1—a component he clearly identified as a known and widespread issue within GM’s system. Mr. Visten further stated that GM has not been responsive to the dealership's requests for this part, which is currently on national backorder with no estimated timeline for availability. I was even told this specific part is being built for new vehicle production and are being prioritized over parts needed for warranty repairs, leaving my truck unusable and indefinitely sidelined for up to a year per Jason Visten @ Blade Chevrolet. I contacted GM Customer Service directly and received the same generic response: no solution, no repair timeline, and no accountability. I made the following reasonable requests: • That GM cover my $880 monthly truck payment, • That GM provide a comparable replacement rental truck, or • That GM offer a new replacement vehicle that matches the current truck I own. All of these requests were either denied or dismissed without alternative solutions. I am now left with a non-functioning vehicle—still under warranty—for which I must continue to make loan payments and maintain insurance, while it sits unused and depreciating on the dealership lot. This situation is not only frustrating—it is unacceptable. I purchased this truck based on its advertised quality and reliability, with the expectation that the warranty would be honored in the event of a manufacturer defect. Instead, I have encountered a complete lack of transparency, responsibility, or customer support from both General Motors and its authorized dealership Blade Chevrolet. I am formally requesting that the Washington State Attorney General’s Office investigate this matter as part of a broader issue involving unfair business practices, failure to honor warranty obligations, and deceptive marketing by GM. I also request assistance in compelling GM to provide a timely repair or suitable alternative resolution. 3 Months in and still no answers or timelines! More

The service department at this dealership are a bunch of crooks. They will take advantage of you any chance they can. Sales will sell you a "Lifetime" (7 years) "powertrain" warranty that excludes items crooks. They will take advantage of you any chance they can. I thought I had found a dealership I could trust and count on, I was mistaken. I will not be purchasing any vehicle from here ever again, I will not use the service department ever again. They've lost a loyal customer to turn a quick buck. More
I am extremely disappointed in the service department of Blade Chevrolet. I have taken my wifes Chevy Trax in 2 times to be repaired and each time we have driven it less than 5 miles and the check engine li Blade Chevrolet. After speaking to the manager of the service department I still didn't get any answers why they couldn't diagnose the problem that would make me want to take the vehicle in for addition diagnoses and repair. I also had an issue with them helping me figure out the extended warranty. They either wouldn't or couldn't figure it out I will not be returning to that service department with any vehicle again. I also know of another individual who has taken his vehicle in 2 times for diagnosis and repair and still hasn't had his vehicle fixed. More

For a dealer to stand behind a used car like this says a lot about who they are as a business. We will be back to get another vehicle someday!!!!!! More
Vacation saver! I was traveling from Michigan to Alaska and back. I was looking for a must have part for my lance camper refrigerator and after trying many places your RV service center came thru and if that weren't enough on my way home I was in desperate need of an oil change on my 2016 duramax ( with a camper on it) and though you were booked for the next day you decided that you could get me in yet that same afternoon! allowing my wife and I to enjoy an extra day in the North Cascades National Park. They wouldnt even give me a copy of the service order so that I could see for myself. I brought my truck in ( with appointments ) 2 times for the same work and still didnt get a completed job and was told I had to come back for a third appointment so they may be able to complete the job. This is very sad and very poor CUSTOMER SERVICE. I cant see where I would recomend this group of people to anyone or let this group do any more work on my truck. More

Last week, took truck in after tire I purchased from them failed. Counter person told me they didn't warranty the tires, but I needed to find a local Continental Tire dealer, though I purchased the set of tires from Blade. When I told the two girls at the counter, who were fixing each other's hair that "Your company is the worst at service I've ever experienced, the senior counter person looked at me and said "Cool"! Warranty service Doug at Blade Chevrolet in the Service Department was great! He checked me and got my problem with the gas gauge fixed in no time at all. Joe the van driver also provided excellent service and got me to work in no time and picked me up to get my car back after it was serviced.
