Charged 30% over estimate I was quoted a price of $705 for tire replacement and alignment, replacement of the splash guard, and changing the air filter,which I approved. On 3/7, all work except for the splash guard was completed and I paid $626, which included the price of the splash guard which had to be ordered. The only thing left to pay was the labor for installing the part, estimated at $80. On 3/13 my husband returned to have the part installed. He was charged $284, bringing the total amount to $910. A 30% increase between the quoted and approved estimate, of which I was never informed or given the opportunity to consent or refuse. More
