I live in Chicago. While visiting a friend in Salida CO I purchased a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 from a private party in the area. The timing chain was loose. I needed it repaired before I felt comfortable driving 12 purchased a 2007 Mazdaspeed 6 from a private party in the area. The timing chain was loose. I needed it repaired before I felt comfortable driving 1200 miles home, so I called Penkhus Mazda on a Friday afternoon, received a quote from Fabian and made an appointment for 12noon the following Monday. It is a 2 hour drive to Colorado Springs from Salida, so there was much planning involved. Fabian said he'd have the necessary parts overnighted so that work could begin right away on Monday afternoon. When we got there, I was told that the parts weren't in yet, so they wouldn't be able to start working on it until Tuesday. Fabian was aware of my situation and assured me that the car would be done by Wednesday evening, but promised he would be in touch to keep me updated on the job's progress. I heard nothing all day Tuesday. I heard nothing Wednesday morning, so I began to call Fabian. I called numerous times, left multiple messages, and never heard back. At the end of Wednesday I called the service center in hopes of speaking to anyone there. Whoever answered the phone couldn't help me because I wasn't their commission, but they put me on hold to go talk to Fabian and then told me that Fabian was about to call me back. He never did. It wasn't until Thursday afternoon, when the car was done, that I finally heard from Fabian. No communication whatsoever prior to that. Then, when I arrived to pick the car up, you attempted to charge me about $250 more than what I'd been quoted. It appears as though the job was done, so for that I am grateful. The service, however, left much to be desired. More
