Bob Thomas Ford is great to work with. The sales team is low pressure, works with you ND makes for a quick ND easy process. Financing was just as great.....no upsetting or pressure. Derrick our salesman did an excellent job of finding a vehicle that suited our needs and our budget. The negotiation of the vehicle and trade went smoothly and as did the process once we reached financing vehicle that suited our needs and our budget. I had to wait over an hour for the finance guy, which was ridiculous and I almost walked out then. While I was waiting, a man came and told me that I couldn't take it home then because there was an "easy rec ridiculous and I almost walked out then. While I was waiting, a man came and told me that I couldn't take it home then because there was an "easy recall" that they could fix first thing in the morning and they would then deliver it. Well morning came and of course no phone call. So I called them around 10 am and I had to wait for someone to check and call me back. When my callback came they said my car was in queue for service, so I asked why my car was in a queue when the man said first thing in the morning. I had to wait for yet another call back and that time, they told me they didn't have the part to fix the recall and the Web site didn't even have an ETA for when the part would be in. At that point, I told them to forget the whole thing and give me my down payment back. Sorry, but I will never buy a car from this dealership. It was THE worst car buying experience I've ever had in my 49 years on this earth. More
Everyone was kind and helpful. It was extremely easy to stay in contact with my salesperson. They made me feel very important. I would recommend this dealership. It was extremely easy to stay in contact with my salesperson. They made me feel very important. I would recommend this dealership. More
We have been Ford Customers for over 30 years and have never had a negative experience with Ford before now. My husband and I bought a new 2019 Ford F150 from Bob Tomes Ford that had only 7 miles on it wh never had a negative experience with Ford before now. My husband and I bought a new 2019 Ford F150 from Bob Tomes Ford that had only 7 miles on it when we drove it off the lot. We started having problems with white smoke from the engine right away but thought it might just be due to the truck being new. We took it to Bob Tomes Ford Service for maintenance/repairs and while there, we brought up the issue of the white smoke and having to add oil several times before it hit 60,000 miles. Bob Tomes Ford could not figure out the problem. Now that the truck is past the original Ford warranty of 60,000, (truck has 90,000 miles), we were told it and needs a new engine. We were not worried because Bob Tomes Ford sold us the truck and their salesman sold us an extended warranty at the time of purchase. We thought it would be covered with no problem. As it turned out, the Ford salesman sold us a warranty directly from them but it was NOT a Ford Warranty! Now the service department is saying the warranty company won't move forward with the repairs unless we provide proof of all oil changes since purchase. I explained that we do not always take our vehicle to the same oil change place so it would be difficult to gather all receipts but I was able to send them 8 or 9 Receipts of Oil Change. The service department has continued to tell us we need to provide more receipts or they can't move forward. I also have learned that the newer Ford trucks have a plastic oil pan & plug and it is a known problem with leakage (just google Ford Yellow plug). The fact is that no vehicle should need a new engine before 100,000 miles even if it had only 8 oil changes (which it had more but I do not have proof. I thought Ford would back up their product under the original 60,000 pier train warranty they advertised since we took it for service before 60,000 for the issue, but we have been told they will not. The warranty Bob Tomes Ford sold to us at time of purchase is not going to cover the engine either. We are incredibly disappointed with Bob Tomes Ford who sold us a truck that failed us, a warranty that failed us, and a service department that failed us by not recognize a serious issue before our truck was out of Ford warranty. We have lost all faith in this dealership, Ford as a product, and Ford as a company . More
