However, if they rectify the situation described here by completing the 60k service that should have been done before my purchase, I will revise the review. I purchased a certified pre-owned truck in March 2024, it was at 57,500 miles at the time of purchase. I assumed that the recommended service had already been completed on the vehicle. Here we are in July and it is time for the 60k (which I thought was at 65k) and Ford is recommending the full service that costs $2050. I was not given the Carfax for my car at the time of purchase and it is nowhere in the digital documents from the purchase--also concerning. The truck was 2500 miles from needing this service (that I was not made aware of at time of purchase). When I made contact with Ford about the issue they stated that they wouldn't take care of a service like that before selling the vehicle. They just do an oil change and visual inspection. (BEWARE!) This is diabolical. I have had a vehicle for 4 months and I am supposed to be dumping $2k into it for a service that should have been done before purchasing? They also didn't want to give me a full list of what SHOULD be done at a 60k! What an absolute joke. When this was brought to their attention, I was given the run around from department to department and no one wanted to fully explain or take accountability. It is disheartening to know that you can't even purchase a vehicle from a large dealership that is in proper condition. Everyone just wants to make a dollar. I will not recommend Bob Tomes Ford to anyone in the future. The truck clanks, makes odd sounds, and shifts hard-I have only had it for 4 months! You can't be sure when buying used regardless of what condition the dealership says the car is in. They will likely respond with some dismissive comment. Something along the lines of "it didn't need this service at the time of inventory." Any normal person reading this will disagree with that statement. It obviously needed the service and the dealership SHOULD have been preventative and done the full service. More

Each individual we interacted with was helpful, energetic and appeared they were happy to be working there. I’ve bought many cars (i tend to look for new around 2-3 years) and can honestly say the experience for the last 5 or so is burned in my mind; the biggest complaint is it always appears to be a high pressure, LONG-drawn out process and it’s to the point my wife just avoids it. Even before covid most of the cars i was purchasing were custom ordered but this experience was different, they had the truck on their lot, they were flexible and patient with us as we wanted to go home and think it over. The next day we came back, filled out the credit paperwork (PLEASE Bob - get rid of the paper and collect this info through some technology even if we’re using a laptop there to fill it out) and then went to dinner whilst they put the package together. Returned, fantastic offer on the finance % and we were run through the finance piece (dont remember his name but he was awesome, engaging, funny and efficient) got in the truck and drove off; they did offer to do a walkthrough of the vehicle and tech but us having a 2022 Lincoln we were very familiar with the system.
