Having experience in sales and marketing myself, I came prepared to sort through any sales pitch to find the best deal. Tony was very genuine, transparent, and accommodating. We felt no pressure through the whole experience, and that goes a long way in our book. Tony is a customer service pro! He gave us a ride home on the first day we came in to the dealership, and made us truly comfortable with the whole process. Excellent service, questionable pricing I had a terrible experience at a major dealer closer to home in Kirkwood, where I found the manager to be very insulting when I wasn't ready to buy a I had a terrible experience at a major dealer closer to home in Kirkwood, where I found the manager to be very insulting when I wasn't ready to buy a car on the spot. It ended with him telling me he hoped my car didn't break down over the weekend. My car was in fine mechanical shape, just a bit old, and he said this in a condescending tone. I then visited Bommarito and worked with Barry, who was great. He was extremely helpful and walked me through all of the details so I could make the best decision for myself. Based on my final outcome, I would normally give 3 stars, however Barry's service was great. My main issue came to pricing. The Bommarito website prominently states they will give $500 over your best offer on a trade-in. Barry refused to give this and said it was a typo. He then backtracked and said that I would have had to mention this before looking at any cars to qualify (I mentioned this pretty early on). The reason was so that they could incorporate a markup on the new car price, which I realize is commonplace. However, they ultimately refused to drop the new car's price below the price listed on the website (a discount off MSRP, but not much), and would do no more than match my best offer from the other dealer on my trade. I bought the car in the end because I did not want to spend more time visiting other dealers, they had the car with the features I wanted, and I felt Barry's service was worth paying something for- he really did go beyond. So if you are not very price conscious and value service, this is a very good dealer to work with, but you will likely pay a bit more for your car. More
