I was scheduled for an oil change. When I arrived I spoke with the service advisor. He gave me a time estimate as to when the service was completed. I purchased a car in May 2026. The sale associate was great! I had originally agreed to purchase four service contracts (GAP ($600), interior care($1,100, external paint care ($1,2 The sale associate was great! I had originally agreed to purchase four service contracts (GAP ($600), interior care($1,100, external paint care ($1,200) and the "Silver" extended warranty package ($3,000) estimated cost for all contracts $5,900. The problem: The Silver extended warranty package that I clearly requested some how became a Platinum extended warranty package($4,998)....an extra $2,000 over the Sliver package. Total service contracts $7,900. They got me! I didn't catch it until after the fact. I don't know if it was intentional but I can't help to think and feel that it was intentional considering they get commissions from each service contract and I know I made my extended warranty request clear. It angered me so bad that I cancelled ALL the service contracts except GAP, and I will seek an extended warranty package elsewhere. Make sure the service contracts are the correct amounts that you agreed to and not more. More
