I was told online by the sales representative that I wouldn’t pay a dollar more than MSRP, “the price you see is the price you pay” which wasn’t true. Instead I followed up on the inquiry because the ma wouldn’t pay a dollar more than MSRP, “the price you see is the price you pay” which wasn’t true. Instead I followed up on the inquiry because the maker was moving fast and it was the car I wanted. I was assured by the sales rep that I “could get the deal done.” Initially I was told the car was immediately sold to someone else. And then the next morning the car was available and I had to move quickly to get the car, so I did. when I showed up to the dealership I spoke with the representative and he pushed me along through the process. After two hours and an appraisal on the car I finally saw the numbers. They were close to what we agreed upon so I said I would do the deal. However the rep went to finance and the price continued to go up. A different representative came over and said “we can do this out the door today” much to my disappointment I accepted but under the stipulations that I needed to see the financing arrangement. After another hour or so I was finally brought back to finance where I saw the whole financed amount. I didn’t feel good about the deal but moved forward since it was a car that I wanted and my family made sacrifices for. Only after some time the finance manager agreed to help by giving me “Cost” of a warranty mark up, adding to the total bill and apologized for the change in price by the rep. I know I bought the car and it’s a luxury vehicle but I felt that every step of the process was to move me forward and make me say “no” rather than feeling like the dealership was an advocate for me. After the rep was not able to get me the deal we shook on He didn’t speak to me the rest of the night. After the price increase of over 5000 I was told at 9pm I couldn’t take the car home with me that night. I had to come back tomorrow to get the car. My rep didn’t tell me this either. I was told he would follow up”first thing in the morning” I had to call the rep at 10:15 asking when I could pick up the Car I just overpaid for. He told me he would have to call me back. And then he told me 12:30. I told him I had to leave the dealership no later than 1:00. I got to the dealership at 12:20 and waited my turn. The car wasn’t delivered until after 1:45 since the electronics in the car weren’t working. I also had to bypass the detail on the car and spent $50 of my own money cleaning what should have already been done by the dealership. Once again my rep was no where to be found. All of the supporting staff and the manager Sam were very helpful in trying to get me taken care of since some of it was out of their control. Overall the process felt like they would just tell you what you wanted to hear to move you forward and then increase price or push your problem along and wear you out.
