I had my first oil change with Boucher Hyundai on 2/2/2026 at 1pm and by 3:51pm my car was dead on the side of the road needing a tow from low oil pressure and a failed oil change. Background: I t 2/2/2026 at 1pm and by 3:51pm my car was dead on the side of the road needing a tow from low oil pressure and a failed oil change. Background: I took my car (2024 Santa Fe) in for an oil change, intermittent check engine light, and recall repair. They were pretty quick—I was out in about an hour and a half. I thought the dealer was nice, clean, bright, and people were friendly. About an hour later I was driving back home down a back road when my oil pressure light turned on and the car went into ‘limp’ mode. I wasn’t able to accelerate further and had to pull onto the shoulder and call for help. I was able to get it another half mile onto another safer road to sit without being hit. I called the dealer who sent a tow truck to haul it back to the dealer, which took about an hour and ten minutes in 23F weather and left me without a vehicle for the night. I filmed the sound of the hybrid engine before I left sounding like a diesel truck. The following day I had to reach out to the dealer, instead of them calling with any update, which I did after waiting until 11:30am. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and transferred four times before I could get an answer. Absolute amateur hour. The first person said it was nothing major, still had 2 quarts of oil, and just needed another oil change and driven again. When I spoke to someone later it had changed to just over a quart of oil remained—I still don’t know which is true. I’m told that the oil filter gasket somehow was pinched during the oil change causing it to leak and fail, which caused my issue. Neither a Service Manager or General Manager ever reached out to me or talked to me. I was offered no refund for the service that caused this mess, no free future service if I even wanted to go back, and no apology for the headache, waste of time, being stuck…nothing. I’m left with a beyond crappy experience and total fear this place has destroyed my engine and the next oil change will find metal shavings, and it will be a fight with them to fix. I asked about a borescope of the engine to confirm no damage and magnetic drain plug and was brushed off as unnecessary, despite the noise from the engine (and fact that Hyundai engines can be very, very finicky). They did tow my car back to the dealer and sent a shuttle driver the next day to take me back to them which I do appreciate but is also bare minimum—so bare I didn’t even have a loaner. The shuttle driver was the highlight of the experience—he was personable and made me feel the most at ease of any person I interacted with at the dealer. I purchased from Boucher Hyundai of Waukesha and I cannot say how much to absolutely avoid these dealers after this experience—it was as if it was just another occurrence to them. More

After nearly pulling my hair out with several other dealerships, Elly and Boucher offered a top notch experience. They were honest, transparent, efficient, and easy to work with. They offered a great price on the exact model I was looking for and went above and beyond to make the process smooth. Instead of pressuring me for the sale and addition service plans, they were great at explaining my options to make sure I got what I needed, without anything extra and unnecessary, and was still happy with the price. I drove from out of town to sign papers and pick up the vehicle and they had everything ready just as we discussed for a fast delivery, while still making time for all of my questions and orienting me to the new vehicle. The cherry on top was finding a thank you gift of a new grill being loaded into the trunk. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will recommend them to my freinds. I just bought a new 2026 Hyundai Palisade from Boucher and I couldn't of had better service. My salesmans name was Jalin Washington and he went above and beyond to get me what I wanted. I have two more kids that will be needing vehicles and even though they were an hour from my home I will be going back (the reason we drove an hour to begin with is they had the best price around!) I have bought 3 vehicles from Boucher Hyundai and today was the first time I've experience such awful customer service. I was looking for information after being told I would receive a phone call with an update yesterday 1.26.2026. I did not hear back, so I figured the team was busy. I called on the afternoon of 1.27.2026 and was told I would have to wait to hear anything because the service advisor assigned to my vehicle left early today. I asked to speak to a manager and that was when I was graciously greeted by Janet who was utterly rude and not understanding in the slightest. I'm reaching out to customer care at this point to voice my concerns as I've not received a call back from local management. Not sure I will ever purchase another vehicle or have my vehicles serviced there in the future. If I could give Janet a 0 star, I would. More
