Have not had the opportunity to visit or use the service department as yet. I purchased a new Avalanche using my GM Discount and available rebates. Trade in on my 2009 Avalanche was very fair trade giving department as yet. I purchased a new Avalanche using my GM Discount and available rebates. Trade in on my 2009 Avalanche was very fair trade giving me a substancial downpayment on the new vehicle, that with rebates and GM Discount made it almost impossible not to trade up. Everyone I dealt with at Bowman was very polite and seemed to know their end of the business very well. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction and arrangements were made to accomdate my schedule for all of the necessary administrivia to exchange vehicles, deal with the financing etc. This is the first vehicle I have purchased from Bowman after buy a number of vehicles from another dealership. The previous dealer lost my business due to a number of bad experiences for myself, my wife & my daughter-in-law in their service department. Once the new car smell wears off the vehicle your opinion of the dealership is based on the performance of the service department and the treatment you receive from them. The previous dealer lost the business of at least 4 individuals who trade for new vehicles about every other year, my wife and I have done this since 1982, they have sold us a lot of cars. Their service depatment cost them a lot of car sales. More
Doug was very helpful in answering any and all questions I had. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle I was interested in buying, and was very good and explaining the differences between them (LS, LT, I had. We found Brian and Dan worked hard to find the right vehicle for us and found an even better finance rate than we were able to get through our credit union. This dealership is absolutely wonderful! I wanted a hatchback and knew that Chevrolet made the Malibu Maxx (hatchback) back in 2007. Bowman Chevrolet at the time did not have the car I wanted yet, but hatchback and knew that Chevrolet made the Malibu Maxx (hatchback) back in 2007. Bowman Chevrolet at the time did not have the car I wanted yet, but said it was "on its way". One week later, I get a phone call saying that just 10 min ago, the car arrived. It was a Chevrolet Malibu Maxx with 11,000 miles! They gave me a good price and provided me with all my needs. Dan was helping me answer all my questions and did everything he could to make my experience more enjoyable and easy. Victor was extremely polite and helpful, getting the job done as fast as he could. Both car salesmen knew the car like it was their very own child. Purchasing the used car was easy and hassle free. This is my first car and I would defiantly recommend anyone to John Bowman Chevrolet. Just ask for either victor or Dan. They will give you excellent service and the best price in town. More

I had been exposed to the automobile business at the dealership level for over 10 years, and passed this info to them in hopes of avoiding all the games they play when buying a used car. Apparently no one listened, because the song and dance crew went into their act from the get go.First they overvalued their car for sale (Kelly Blue Book as guide), and then undervalued my trade ( I used the same guide as a reference in both value determinations). When I brought this to their attention after they wheeled out their numbers of "what they could do for me", they said Kelly Blue Book was unreliable and do not use it.Kelly Blue Book unreliable? It is the industry standard for evaluation! I asked them what national service they used (i.e., Edmunds,NADA, etc.) and they wouldn't divulge their source. So, I took my business elsewhere to a more trustworthy dealership and recommend to everyone I discuss cars with not to stop at this place where deception and dishonesty seem to be the order of the day and their 'best practise' philosophy.
