Helpful technician just disappointed in outcome I purchased my 2013 Edge brand new from Bozard and in the span of 3 yrs I have had 4 batteries. Each time the battery was replaced by the Ford dealers I purchased my 2013 Edge brand new from Bozard and in the span of 3 yrs I have had 4 batteries. Each time the battery was replaced by the Ford dealership the first time was approx. 10-12 months after I purchased the vehicle and they assumed it was just a bad battery and I was ok with that these things happen. The next time the battery lasted a little longer maybe 15-18 months took it to Bozard and stressed this would be the 3rd battery in a little more than 2 yrs there had to be something more going on. They look at it for less than 15 minutes and came back with No just another bad battery and replaced it. Here I am back again 17-18 months later same thing battery is bad but this time I had a technician who actually reads the service bulletins and he identified a problem that Ford has known about for several years. The previous technicians either didn't bother to check the bulletins or chose to ignore them and now my car is out of warranty and I have to foot the bill for the repair. Needless to say I just had them replace the battery for free and will look at my options but it won't be taking it back there to pay for the repair. Sad thing is my family has purchased 5 Fords in the last 10 years and I was looking at trading in for a new vehicle next year looks like I may need to rethink they type of replacement. Extremely disappointed in this experience although I was impressed with the courteously and concern of the technician who felt bad that the issue wasn't recognized previously. More
