Don’t buy anything from this dealer. I bought a truck there in July 2021. The check engine light was on they agreed to fix it. They have had my truck for 7 weeks off and on. Still not fixed. I have gave there in July 2021. The check engine light was on they agreed to fix it. They have had my truck for 7 weeks off and on. Still not fixed. I have gave them the codes for the engine light being on. Did the research my and showed it to them. They still have not changed the part that the code is saying. Injector 5 is bad. They have done nothing to make this right with me. I am paying for a truck that don’t even get to drive. More

I grew up in a Ch Caveat Emptor, my friends! Let me preface this review by stating right up front, I have been in the auto industry my entire life. I grew up in a Chevy dealership that my family owned in Michigan in the 1980s. My grandfather was an executive for GM for 30 years. I have worked in every department in a dealership from service porter to sales manager throughout my lifetime and I have never seen a dealership operate with such borderline shady practices and even to go so far as to say an almost callous attitude towards customers. As many others who have posted here have made notice of, this dealership seems to pride itself on bait and switch tactics by making promises and misrepresentations over the phone, internet and text when in reality, the truth becomes apparent when you spend your valuable time and arrive at the dealership. The dealership itself is really only a dealership by definition. If it weren't for the FORD sign hanging over the mailbox, you might otherwise think you were passing "BOB's House of Back Alley Cars." There was absolutely no where to park because there were used cards parked everywhere in sight. They certainly were not customer cars because there were only two other people in the showroom besides myself. I would go so far as to say that I am a little dismayed at FORD for allowing their banner to be flown over a franchise in such disrepair and dishevelment. After waiting for almost 10 minutes for one of their staff to even approach us (as they were all huddled around a tablet watching YouTube videos like a junior high cafeteria) we were told that the person that we had been speaking with for a week about our deal didn't even work there and wasn't actually part of the sales staff. They were a call center employee in another city! Now let me explain this as being unheard of! It is absolutely commonplace these days to have a BDC (Business Development Center) staff to filter calls to sales staff and provide very basic information about the dealership and vehicles. It IS NOT your primary center of contact with customers, certainly NOT your primary source of vehicle and financial information and IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT ever something that should be done off-site with a call center staffed by individuals outside of the automotive industry! I might as well go to Walmart and ask the high school kid stocking the shelves about the vehicles and financials on a lot 210 miles away on the other side of the state... Long story short (hah, I know) after driving 40 minutes each way, I was met with a completely different story about the deal than what I had taken time out of my day and driven there for in the first place. In a time when there are franchise dealerships on nearly every single corner in every single town, DO NOT waste your valuable time and fall into the traps laid out by Wapak FORD! Lastly, let me point something out to you that will further shed some light on the practices of Wapak FORD. If you'll notice, the main "review" system they use is through a company called RevLocal. This review system is one that they pay for because it allows them to filter out ALL negative reviews of their dealership and produce a fabricated and misleading score. Also, take note that of all the reviews you will find above and below, Wapak FORD ONLY responds to those that are positive. They make no attempt to contact nor work with dissatisfied customers in an attempt to rectify problems or to turn a customers negative experience around. Just think about how they misrepresent themselves before you even walk through the door before you sign your name to that legally binding sales contract. Of course, that's just my $0.02 More
April 2021, my husband and I inquired about a used Ford Explorer. We asked specific questions such as if it was smoked in and if there was any damage to the vehicle because we live 3.5 hours away from the Explorer. We asked specific questions such as if it was smoked in and if there was any damage to the vehicle because we live 3.5 hours away from the dealership. We made an appointment with Stevie to look at the car and drove the long distance to test drive the vehicle. Upon arrival, we test drove the vehicle to find burn holes in the back row, scratches to the exterior and it smelled like a cigarette. When questioning Stevie about why he told us false information about the car, his response was “I didn’t know” and tried to offer us another Explorer above our price range. We finally agreed to lower the price of the vehicle and we signed paperwork. About an hour into our drive back home, we received a phone call from their finance officer, Briana, stating the paperwork signed was with the wrong bank and they were overnighting us new paperwork. We signed them and sent it back. Days later we receive another call from Briana stating that the gap insurance was incorrect and we would be receiving new paperwork over night. We signed the paperwork and sent it back. Flash forward to June- I get an email from Credit Karma stating my credit has been ran again. Upon further investigation I find out that Wapak Ford ran my credit again without authorization and there was no auto loan listed on my account. I called Wapak Ford and questioned them about the credit check and asking why I didn’t have an auto loan yet and their response was that they “never received our paperwork so the loan lapsed.” There was no communication about this lapsed loan before this phone call and I did not authorize them to rerun my credit. They sent paperwork again for us to sign through another bank. I compared this paperwork to our original contract and they were trying to charge us over $300 more than what we agreed on. Again, questioning this, they resent our paperwork and we have finally received our title today. This was a nightmare experience. I have never dealt with such unprofessional and incompetent people in my life. This was by-far the most stressful car buying process I have ever witnessed. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
If your looking for a vehicle go elsewhere. From the very beginning the customer service was horrible. My husband and I were looking at one of their trucks online. The pictures made the truck seem amazing. C beginning the customer service was horrible. My husband and I were looking at one of their trucks online. The pictures made the truck seem amazing. Called the dealership my husband spoke with Shawn. I spoke with Aaron. On several occasions my husband and I told them we had both called inquiring about the vehicle. Didn’t seem to matter to them they just immediately transferred us to someone else in the dealership. When we asked for pictures or a virtual tour since everything was close due to Covid- 19, and the fact that we live 6 and a half hours away. They refused saying the vehicle was in great shape with no rust. Despite our experience we decided to still go ahead and drive to purchase the truck. When we got there we were extremely upset. Not only did we find out that Shawn and Aaron weren’t Saleman, just people who call back online request. that they don’t have any clue what any of the vehicles conditions are nor do they deal with customer once at the dealership. We also found out that they had lied the truck was in horrible condition and had rust everywhere. Definitely not worth what they were asking for. Don’t normally free this way but I truly feel like they were trying to take advantage of us. More
They figured out my escape’s problem We would like to give Wapak Ford a huge THANK YOU! We had our 2013 Ford Escape Titanuim to 2 different dealers to try to figure out why it was shuttering on a cold start. Each dealer had the vehicle a minimum of 30 days trying to find the problem. Each of them said they thought it was the tires and or rims among other possibilities. During the course of having our Escape to these two dealers, dealer #1 said the rear differential was bad so we replaced it. It did the same thing after it was replaced. We then took it to dealer #2 and they said it could be the drive line. They pulled out the driveline to see if it did the same thing. When the vehicle did the same thing in front wheel drive and four wheel drive they said it was the transmission and it would cost $5300.00 to fix. Since the vehicle had 100,000 miles on it we said put the driveline back in and we will just take it home. After they put the driveline back in, they didn’t put the bracket on so when we drove it off the lot the driveline broke. They said it was not their responsibility and we would have to pay for a new driveline. We said put it in the back, we will go elsewhere. We decided to have Wapak Ford put in a new driveline and asked while they had it could they diagnose the shuttering. We received a call a few days later and they knew what was wrong with it after test driving it. After all the headaches we had with the other 2 dealers not knowing we were skeptical when they told us it was the torque converter and it would be 1400.00 to fix. We looked things up on line to see how a vehicle acted when this part was bad, and it sounded exactly what it was doing. We decided to have it replaced and it runs like a dream.....Thank You Stacey and the service crew at Wapak Ford. More
