Unacceptable General Manager and Salesperson I will neither shop at or recommend this location ever again. Mike Samuel was my salesman and did not know anything about the Ioniq or hybrids in gen I will neither shop at or recommend this location ever again. Mike Samuel was my salesman and did not know anything about the Ioniq or hybrids in general. When we (my fiance and I) asked if there was anyone at the dealership that did know about hybrids, he did not recommend anyone and kept trying to go on with the sale. Luckily, my fiance and I did lots of research on our own and knew what we wanted to see in this car. If we did not, we would have been completely lost with someone strictly interested in getting the sale and not actually finding the right car for us. The only reason we came to this particular Hyundai dealership is because my parents bought their car there a few years prior. During the sale, I asked about Hyundai's referral program. Mike said if you buy a car and someone referred you, they would get a $100 check as a thank you from the dealership. I gave Mike all of my parents' contact info and explained why they referred me. Mike wrote all of the information down, and we continued with the purchasing process. Several weeks after buying the car I noticed my parents had not received their check in the mail. I called the dealership and asked what the hold up was. They explained the information was all there in my file and that the check would be mailed out at the end of the week. The end of the week came and went, and they never received their check. This happened several times. Whenever I called someone in finance would tell me the same exact thing. So the next time I called I asked to speak to Mike. I was put on hold for over ten minutes, then told he must be busy and to call back later. I did just that, and again was placed on hold for another almost ten minutes. I gave the receptionist my information and she assured me Mike would get back to me. He never ever did. After two months of getting the run around I decided it was time to speak to the general manager, Art Spath. This man is the most unprofessional "manager" I have ever come across in my life. I explained the situation to him and asked for an explanation. He told me that the referral information was not entered into their system within 24 hours of purchasing the car and as a result, my parents are ineligible. I explained that I saw with my own eyes Mike take down the information. He said that does not matter because of the time the information was added to my file. I asked how that was my or my parents fault and if that is indeed the issue, why was that never brought to my attention on any of the numerous calls I made to the dealership before this one. This made him angry and he tried to turn the tables on me, asking why I was calling instead of my parents. I said they are at work (it was a Monday and I had off) and he can look at all of the information on both mine and my parents files. He then accused me of trying to get the money for myself, since my parents and I live at the same address. I said that was not the case and that none of this information changes the fact that because Mike did not do his job, my parents are getting cheated out of their referral money. The entire time I was talking he tried to loudly talk over me and intimidate me by saying there is no one higher than him at this dealership. I said that is fine, then I will bring this to corporate. He then said that he will check on a few things and call me back in the afternoon. I specifically told how no one from their dealership ever called me back when they said they would and he assured me he would. I did not believe him, and of course, he did not call me back. And when I called and asked to speak to him, I was left on hold for over 17 minutes, before getting directed back to the receptionist. I hung up and explained to my mother what was happening. She then called on her lunch break and did manage to magically get a hold of Art. He treated her the same exact way, tried yelling at her and said that I was trying to steal the money. She kept a calm demeanor as I had, and when she said he was being very rude, he threatened to hang up on her. Again, once she threatened involving corporate, he said that he would be sending her the check in the mail this week. The check never came in the mail. She ended up calling again and speaking with Lindsey Johnson, who told her she would take care of the issue. My mother explained in detail the complete run around we received and the totally unacceptable behavior of both Art and Mike. Lindsey said that Art is no longer the general manager there and that she would make sure they received their check. I bought my car at the end of June and my parents did not receive their referral money until late September, and that was only because of our persistence. The check wasn't even mailed, my mother had to physically go to the dealership and pick it up. If that dealership does not want to do the referral program then just don't offer it. But I should not feel personally attacked when I am asking legitimate questions nor should I have to jump through hoops to get a straight answer. Again, I will never shop at this dealership again and will never recommend it to anyone. You should not know more about a car you are interested in than the salesperson. And you most certainly should not be yelled at and accused of trying to steal by the "manager". More

Great Way to Buy a Vehicle I needed to purchase a car for my daughter and was dreading the experience. I purchase an Elantra and my daughter could not be happier with her car. The staff was great and had us in and out of there in a timely manner. My husband is considering purchasing a new vehicle and if he does, it will definitely be another Hyundai and we will buy it from here. More
