I have two small boys at home so I was a bit rushed, but the car SEEMED to be in good shape, I mean, it only had 44K on the odometer. Once I returned home the problems began. The first problem came up when I tried to fill the car up at the gas station. The valve in the gas tank is broken so you cannot put more than a half gallon in at a time. I have worked in the automotive industry for many years and have always filled up my customer's tanks upon a purchase, so I would think this would have been caught. Summary - Car needs an $850 gas tank. The car also has a loud whining sound at the bottom of the engine. I could not figure out the noise and took it to a dealership and found out that the timing chain is hitting the guides and if it breaks it will ruin the entire engine - that's another $980 bill that I will have to deal with. While the car was on the lift at that same dealer, they noticed the ball joints are completely shot and will need replacing as well. I called and emailed the dealership about these issues since I have had the car less than three weeks, and have never heard from them.
