This was about my 12th purchase from Brian Hoskins Ford. I am very satisfied with the dealership after all these years. They have always treated me right everytime I vist. Took a rough running '06 F150 taken in for service. Ford has a known issue with spark plugs for that year and model. There are some four class action lawsuits, so the issue is well documented. Basically, the plugs crack when removing them. Broken pieces sometimes have to be fished out if they fall into the engine. Ford even has a special tool to deal with the issue, which is tantamount to an admission of design flaw. My replacement plugs ended up costing $1,000 dollars. Worse, the next day, when the truck STILL ran rough, they cited a new issue (VCT solenoid), and said it was pure coincidence that it broke while they were replacing the spark plugs. That strains credulity, to say the least. They then proceeded to charge me an additional $650 to repair that! Of course Ford corporate does not get involved in workmanship issues, so I was at the mercy of the service manager and his unverifiable story of the service situation. I would discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle at Brian Hoskins Ford.I had purchased two other trucks from them, but will consider Toyota now. On the upside, it seems like a casual place to work. I noticed employees gathered around a computer watching YouTube videos. More
