D o not trust the service department! And do not trust Julian the service advisor. I have always had trustworthy mechanics so trust them with their advice. Unfortunately for me because I recently moved Julian the service advisor. I have always had trustworthy mechanics so trust them with their advice. Unfortunately for me because I recently moved to Miami and needed an oil change, I came here. First of all, even though I had a 7am appt, it still took 3+ hours for them to even assess my car. So be prepared to wait. After they finally assessed the car they told me the car needed to have the transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant fluid replaced because they were all "very bad." Having left my car records at home, I agreed. When I went home, my records showed that the transmission fluid had only been changed 10 months earlier, so there was no way that needed to be changed with such a short interval. What's worse is that Julian the service advisor told me that the transmission fluid needed to be changed every 30k which is wrong for my car based on the manual. While I won't ever know if the brake fluids and coolant fluids actually were in bad condition, I have doubts based on what they said about the transmission. Moreover, the labor costs here are twice as high as the the Honda dealership in another big city. I feel cheated out of $650 and worse, blatantly lied to. In summary: if you go, be prepared to wait for a long time, and know exactly what your car needs so they don't scalp you. I have learned my lesson. More
