I visited this dealer for a test drive of the new Crosstour back in November. I told the salesman, Ryan that I was only curious and not ready to buy. He took me for an additional drive and when my wife stopped in the dealership on her own she was treated very nicely as well. Do your homework, know the value of your trade and the fair market price of your intended purchase. Be polite, reasonable and honest and you will be treated the same way. Upon arriving at the dealership Bob Daniel handed me off to Evan Medsker (Sales & Leasing Consultant). During negotiations Jeff Deters (Sales Manager) offered a trade in value of 2/3 the price of Kelly Blue Book "Fair" Trade in value. When I was ready to leave the dealership, Jeff stated that he could give an additional $500 on the trade in and wanted to know what it would take to make the deal. I told him that I would have to talk with my wife and would be in the next day. The next morning I arrived at the dealership, picked the model of car that I wanted, and told them that they would have to do better on the trade in to get my business. Evan Medsker "talked" with his sales manager and agreed to an additional $500 for the trade in. I told them that they had a deal, shook Evan's hand and told him I could be in the next business day to sign the paperwork. The sales manager (Jeff Deters) asked for me to sign the paperwork that day so the sale would be in the current month, I agreed to return in the afternoon. That afternoon I received a call from Evan Medsker asking when I would be in, and he stated that all the paperwork was ready. I went to the dealership shortly after receiving the call to find that the paperwork was not ready. Evan Medsker offered to sell me a "protection plan", after I stated that I didn't see the need, he Evan stated that the cars do not come with any protection from rust, I still declined the "protection plan". Evan left me sitting for a period of time after I did not agree to buy the "protection plan", when Evan returned, he stated that the price of the car would be an additional $750 for the car. I got up, shook Evan's hand and said "Have a nice day". More

This dealer is very untrustworthy. I had negotiated a firm price on a new Honda via email and telephone with the sales staff. Upon arrival they mandated that we pay $400 for the "protection package" which was splash guards, wheel lock, and a cargo mat. We said we did not agree on that and they could either honor their negotiated price (which we had evidence of) or remove the parts. Then the manager got involved and said "do you want the car or not?". We said yes, for the price we all agreed on. He said "whatever, see ya" and stormed off. Not the way to conduct business. Very much a bait-and-switch tactic. $400 by itself is not a lot of money but the principle of doing this is dishonest. How many just go ahead and pay this? LOTS of other dealers out there. We worked with several others who were very honest and upfront about these charges and did not wait until you arrived in the showroom to start adding them on. AVOID. More
