I started the process by seeking out an internet price on a new Odyssey. I received great pricing and quick responses from Bob Daniel. Max was pleasant enough to work with and like others have stated wasn't pushy. The price they presented for my 11' Odyssey was under what I thought it was. Max asked me what I was thinking and I told him that I thought I might do better buying out the lease and selling the car privately. All of a sudden Max's demeanor and tone changed on me. He quickly got up, walked away while saying that he wished I would've told him that in the first place because he wouldn't have wasted time bringing up the 2014 to show me. First of all, I did not have an appraisal on the 11 Odyssey until this point and second all I was saying were my thoughts. I was not rude to him nor did I say the deal was dead. When he returned with my car keys I told him that his tone completely changed with me. This is when he went off on me. He was so rude it was shocking. I have never been spoken to in this manner. I was shaking and on the verge of tears, which I held in until I got back in my car. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what, but I do know that I left this dealership completely upset at the way I was treated. I give the above ratings because although the first part of the process was great, the ending was horrible. No one deserves to be spoken to in the manner that I was spoken to. It is also unfortunate because I have been an owner of Honda vehicles since I started buying cars. I love the Honda brand but will have to find another dealership to give my business to. More

After we got the best price on a Honda Accord from Max Ring, a salesman at Brilliance, we went out the next day to see him and the car we hoped to buy. He had the car we wanted and the Out The Door price (OTD) was the same as he told us when we spoke to him on the phone. Brilliance Honda and Max Ring make buying a car an easy, satisfying experience. Their showroom is large, comfortable, and modern. Everyone we dealt with were pleasant and friendly. Max Ring, our salesperson, was very knowledgeable. He is an experienced salesperson who paid attention to what we wanted. No high pressure sales with him. He answered all our questions and listened closely to what we said and tried to save us money when making final decisions. He fully disclosed everything about the transaction. Even after the sale, everyone at Brilliance Honda was helpful and positive. A few days after the purchase, we wanted to install body side molding and Max Ring helped us to get a good price and the work was done quickly and correctly.I particularly like the way Max treated me, as a woman, he treated me with respect. He didn’t just talk to my husband, like some people in car dealerships do. He gave me eye contact and listened and spoke to me when discussing the car purchase. I have had the experience with some car dealers where the only time the sales person talks to me is to ask, “Ma’am, what color car do you want” they think women are only interested in the color of the car. I was looking for a 2013 Honda Odysset EX-L and had priced them out at a couple dealerships. I found a good price at another dealership at Schaumburg but didn't comfortable there and called Brilliance priced them out at a couple dealerships. I found a good price at another dealership at Schaumburg but didn't comfortable there and called Brilliance Honda because I previously had a very good experience in 2007 when I bought another new car from them. I also thought their service department was overall pretty fair and did a great job on my car 's maintenance the last 6 years (except for an instance when replacing brakes, but that appears to be an anomoly). I also appreciated the fact that they took the fabric warranty to heart that I had purchased and replaced the cloth seat in the rear in '08 because my kids' crayons had melted into the fabric! Other places might have said tough luck but Ben, who is the service manager, is a great guy and told his team to take care of it. So I mentioned the price that I could get at the Schaumburg dealer and Brilliance said they could match it. My family and I went in to meet Cindy Laudermilk who was the person I talked to on the phone and she worked through the pricing and numbers for us. They didn't have the exterior and interior color combination we wanted but she said they would do all they could do to trade one of their vehicles to another dealership and get the one I wanted after we put a deposit down. Since it was late July almost all dealerships had already sold-out of their '13 Odysseys due to the fact '14's that had arrived and also because the Mfr incentives which reduced the price way below MSRP and invoice. Even so, about a week later they called and said they had located the color combination we wanted! Every other dealership that i contacted didn't have this color combo so it was unbelievable that they had found this one. We went to check it out with Cindy on a long test drive and told her we would be ready to purchase it later the coming week. However, during that time I started looking at the '14's because they had some improvements that looked attractive to me. I mentioned this to Cindy on the phone, but told her that we would probably buy the '13. I think this caused a little uneasiness in the situation but Cindy didn't waver and held the van for us even though there were others who were very interested in the van and would most likely have bought it if she hadn't held it for us. Finally, several days later we made it into the dealership to close the deal, and negotiated several things along the way before doing so. The van was washed for us and cleaned since it had been driven to the dealership from another nearby location. They also filled the tank full of gas for us. We really appreciated working with Cindy because by all accountes she really wanted to get us something that would be a great fit for our family. She worked through the paperwork with us and even gave us a hands-on tutorial on the different features of our minivan while we waited for the finance person to get the final paperwork ready for us.. She is a warm, gentle person who does her job with great professionalism and care. I would highly recommend working with her as well as Brilliance. They are different than most dealerships you will go to in Chicago or the suburbs. They're not the biggest dealership but I find that their friendly, casual style and willingness to work with the buyer makes up for any perks a huge dealership may throw in. Just bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite from Brilliance. I initially requested a price online. Went into the dealership to test drive the vehicle and lucked into working with a salesman named Max Ring. I have previously had some bad experiences with other sales people at the dealership (before they moved) and hence didn't purchase a vehicle on previous visits. Working with Max made all the difference. He's a true professional and genuinely wants you to drive away happy. Already having an internet price made the buying experience fairly easy. The only negative was the dealership does add on mud flaps to all their vehicles (why I rated price a 4). They will try to charge $399, but will offer them for $179 (maybe less?). Since my husband wanted them anyway, we didn't push once we got the price down. But just be warned that they won't mention this in their online pricing, even if you ask for an OTD (out the door) price with each charge detailed. Again, Max was a great sales person to work with and the buying process was pretty straightforward. Just had to talk to Max and then their finance guy at the end (no middle manager), so I would definitely recommend buying from Brilliance. They seemed to have improved their quality of sales people and also how they do business. Also they did request that I review them on this website, so take that into consideration. More

Max and the rest of the staff we dealt with that night were very friendly and professional and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the purchase of our CRV.
