We couldn't have imagined that getting a new car could be as painless and efficient as the experience we had yesterday at Buerkle Honda. We had asked for Scott Steinberg, the salesman who worked with us when we acquired our last vehicle, and we were delighted to find that he was still there. As soon as we arrived for our mid-afternoon appointment, Scott set us up with a test drive in exactly the version of the Odyssey we were looking for. He then checked the inventory and found us just the paint color and interior we wanted. That done, he quickly ran some numbers and offered us what we took to be a fair deal. It took us maybe five minutes to think about it before we decided to go ahead, whereupon Scott leaped into action to get everything set up. We did the paperwork in the business office in almost no time -- with no pesky sales pitches about unneeded "spiffs," and we were done in time to make our dinner engagement. All that remained was to come in the next morning to pick up the keys and get the obligatory orientation briefing (not a big deal, since we were already pretty familiar with Hondas.)
