Repairs Was told by another shop who did my oil change that my left front suspension was leaking and needed replacing. They quoted me a price and I left. I Was told by another shop who did my oil change that my left front suspension was leaking and needed replacing. They quoted me a price and I left. I then called Vicki and made an appointment for my 2016 Ford Escape to be looked at. I was also told that my lug nuts were swollen. I am still under warranty so no cost for me. At the appointment your guys determined that there was nothing wrong with my suspension but you did replace the lug nuts. I would like to say that Vicki is fantastic! What a personality she has and always makes me feel welcomed when I arrive. If I have questions she is quick to get me an answer. She is friendly and out going which is rare these days! More

Not at all a good first impression I recently purchased a used vehicle from the ford dealership. My parents have purchased vehicles from this dealer before and it came recommended from I recently purchased a used vehicle from the ford dealership. My parents have purchased vehicles from this dealer before and it came recommended from friends as well. The staff was friendly enough when I went to purchase. I had an idea of what I wanted before I visited so it didn’t take me long to find a vehicle I wanted to buy. There were no prices on any vehicles so I had to wait for numbers to be run. I came with a preapproval and had an idea of what I wanted to spend. After the pricing came back several thousand dollars higher than what I was thinking of spending, I still decided to move forward as the vehicle appeared to be in very good condition and I was told the vehicle was a “Ford certified” used vehicle. I drove home that night in my new car. The next morning... on my way to the office the brakes started making a loud grinding noise. I immediately called the dealership. The person I spoke to asked me if I had purchased any warranty. I explained I had purchased the car merely 16 hours earlier so I was a little put off I was even being asked this question. I said I needed this fixed and I was not going to be paying for it as this was clearly a preexisting issue with the vehicle. I waited patiently while the man I was speaking to got “permission” to ok my fix. I was told I could not get the vehicle into the shop until Tuesday (currently Friday). I was assured though that they would get everything fixed and I would receive a loaner vehicle so I could get back to work as it was a Tuesday appointment and I had normal business to attend to. The vehicle continued to get worse over the next few days while waiting for my appointment. I had to continue driving it as now it was my only vehicle. Once Tuesday did roll around, the sound was VERY loud. I was very concerned that I just spent a large sum of money (close to $10k more than I had planned) that I worked very hard for on a vehicle that now sounded like it was falling apart. Being a young professional, this was the most I had ever spent on a vehicle so it had been a proud moment for me. Once I arrived to drop off my car at the service center, I gave my keys to the friendly lady behind the desk who told me she would get it in. I then asked her to point me in the direction of my loaner vehicle as I needed to get back to work. She then informed me that I wasn’t on the list for a loaner vehicle and that I would need to go speak to the manager who had sold me the vehicle. Again agitated, I headed down the hall to find the manager. The interaction with him was brief; he got me the loaner vehicle. However, what struck me as odd was there was no apology or attempt to calm my nerves. He did what he needed to do to get me to leave and get me on my way. I was calm, clearly looked annoyed, but was in no way causing a scene. It was not the same friendly person who just earned my business the week before. I dropped my vehicle off at lunch and was told they were getting it in immediately. So when 5:00 pm rolled around and I hadn’t heard anything, I called to see if I needed to make the long drive back to Dowagiac again that evening. I was told it would not be ready and wouldn’t be until the next day. Not the simple brake job I was hoping for apparently. I did get the call the next day, late morning to tell me I could come pick up the vehicle. This would now be the second day I would need to leave work to deal with this issue. I explained to the caller I had payroll to complete and meetings to attend so I asked if someone would bring it to me and swap out for the loaner vehicle. Again, I was forwarded to the manager who sold me the vehicle. He agreed readily enough to have this done. My car was brought back... with an empty tank of gas; the least expensive gesture of making this right and going the extra step for the customer. On the bright side, the brakes were fixed. I was hoping this is where the story would end. A friend of mine had mentioned they knew someone who worked in the dealership. When they mentioned my issue and the kind of car to them, the employee immediately said “yeah the brakes needed to be replaced on that before it was even sold.” I am utterly shocked and really let down. DO BETTER! If that is what FORD CERTIFIED means, I will take my business elsewhere in the future. Very let down. I hope there isn’t anything else I don’t know yet about my vehicle. More
