Bill: We certainly do want to apologize for the confusion regarding the letter that you received from us. As we had tried to explain to you the letter went out and our system had not updated the information regarding the recent purchase of your Journey. When you spoke with one of our personnel the question was asked if you had any payments, to which you replied no. The fact is that you had not made a payment yet, which I am sure you will agree are two different factors. As soon as we realized that you had in fact just purchased a vehicle we called and we left a message to let you know not come in as the letter sent was not a valid offer. You never responded to our call.There would be no possible way for us to upgrade you to a newer vehicle when you just bought one and have made no payments on it. This was a simple mistake, one we have tried to apologize and explain to you and have been unsuccessful at doing so. If you wish to discuss this any further, please feel free to give me a call. You may want to edit your response as it only makes you and the situation look even worse. Feel free to read over the letter that Barbara Garcia mailed to us. It clearly states that according to your records, we have 72 payments remaining on our vehicle as well as the payment amount. You stated in writing (as well as over the phone) exactly how much we owed and still stated your offer to upgrade for the same price. Stating now that you were unaware of the payments is really bad. Don't put things in writing when you wish to make false statements or excuses please.
