The problem is with the "hands free calling" system. GM seems to have an extensive problem with the phone system and the new Apple cell phones. Larry H. spent considerable time trying to find a fix for the problem and was successful In finding the memo that addressed the problem, but does not yet have a resolve. I have always been pleased with the service at Apple Valley. More

The salesman was great. But then the trouble started 2 weeks later when I had to use the service department. My truck has been in the shop 3 times for a total of 25 days. Still not fixed. The dealership says GM bulletin says thats the way they drive. I have a 42,000.00 dollar lemon that anyone can test drive. I would check everything out before you choose this dealership. More

We were directed to the waiting area which we hung out for about 15 minutes. Then Bud Barbour appeared telling us Zack was busy but he would let him know we were waiting. Some more time went by. Bud checked on Zack again. He let us know Zack was tied up. So much for a 2 pm appointment! To be blunt, Zack blew us off and $27,000 SALE. Really, you have to set up an appointment to buy a car these days?!!! I am thinking to myself, this doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy regarding their service department. I am thinking, I don't think this dealership wants my money or my service business. In most dealerships, if your stood up, there is another salesman ready to jump in to make the sale. Not here. Bud volunteers to show us what he has on the lot. We look at the Equinox. He has six on the lot. However none of them are the ones advertised on Apple Valley Chevrolet's website listed as Internet Specials as I show him on my cell phone. I think to myself, strike two. Bud advises us the vehicles listed either have been sold, or doesn't know where they are. Again, I think to myself, the "bait and switch" tactic using the internet. The wife decides the price is too high for the six vehicles they have on the entire lot. Thats right, a Chevy dealer with only six Equinox on the entire lot?!!! Bud asks us to come back to the showroom to see if he can find what my wife is looking for. My wife finally speaks up and says no thank you. We are tired of wasting our time. Bud and I exchange pleasantries about how to run a dealership. Just in case Bud doesn't pass these along to the General Manager or owners, I'll repeat them. The taxpayers of this country bailed out the automobile industry. I wonder what General Motors management would say about a dealership who pulled what Apple Valley Chevrolet did on my wife and I? Second, I don't think the owners would appreciate the fact that a check writing customer with a trade in was turned away. A $27K sale lost. Does the dealership owner know this type of business practice is going on? How about the general manager? If the GM doesn't know, he is either not doing his job or is actually condoning this type of sales ethics. As I let Bud know, if I was the dealership owner or general manager, I would be lighting up some a$$ starting with Zack, then Bud, then everyone else. For the record, Apple Valley called my wife to set up an appointment based on her internet browsing of their website and her GM discount. She didn't call them! Blown off, false advertising, and not even a "please give us another chance". WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY A VEHICLE FROM APPLE VALLEY CHEVROLET?!!!!!! More

I do not want to put any names out, but the sales person I dealt with was a bit arrogant at times and this rubbed me the wrong way. I can count 2 times within the day that the sales person said "I'm only running the numbers if you are seriously interested or we are not going to waste our time". All I said was is I needed to talk this purchase over with my significant other. I've purchased plenty of cars before and never was talked to like this and quite frankly I didn't appreciate it. I ended up buying the car, so obviously I was seriously interested. The used car sales manager too was a bit cocky and arrogant when an issue was spotted after buying the car and ended up getting another car to replace it with his "That is really not a big deal, but we will do whatever it takes to make you happy (filled with sarcasm)" comment. I just got the feeling that these guys thought they were doing me a favor and I do not like conducting business this way. The price was very fair on the car, but I wouldn't go running out of my way to buy from these guys. More

I received an email from Apple Valley Chevrolet telling me I could get an up grade and not pay anymore than I do now. My first thought was 'yeah right' and dismissed it. I had a 2012 Sonic which I loved me I could get an up grade and not pay anymore than I do now. My first thought was 'yeah right' and dismissed it. I had a 2012 Sonic which I loved but we were experiencing a problem with the button on the gear shifter. I made an appointment for Friday morning to have that checked. Thursday evening I got a call from a salesperson named Nathan. He asked if I had gotten the email and what I thought of it. I told him I more or less dismissed it. He asked if I would go in and talk to him. I told him I had an appointment for Friday morning and if he was available I would talk to him. First he we extremely easy to talk to. I'm about 40 years older than he is and he was extremely respectful. He made an initial proposal which wasn't even close to what I was paying for the car I already had and was happy with. I told him no way. He left and came back again. Still no deal. I told him I knew he was trying to make a buck but he called me. I wasn't looking to buy anything new. Finally we came to an agreement. It was a real nice negotiation. Actually it was fun. Nathan and I would chit chat but he never lost focus on the task at hand. Chance came to where I was sitting and sat down and chatted. I don't know if he was evaluating Nathan or what he was doing but we had a nice chat. I bought two cars from AVC in the '90s and swore I would never go back. The sales people were rude and had the air of doing people a favor. The atmosphere has changed 180*. Very much a pleasure. I feel like family. I dealt with Tony in service and he was over and above as well. It seemed like there was a team work attitude. Can't beat that. More
I had an frozen ignition switch in my 1998 Malibu. I had it replaced by a local independent mechanic. Almost immediately, I experienced anti theft and pass-lock problems. They were unable to solve the probl it replaced by a local independent mechanic. Almost immediately, I experienced anti theft and pass-lock problems. They were unable to solve the problem. I finally got smart, and brought my Malibu to Apple Valley Chevy. They found that the local independent had cut all the wires to the ignition switch, and did a half-baked job of reattaching them. They repaired the wiring, and replaced the damaged parts. After a few weeks, the anti-theft/pass-lock problem resurfaced, but intermittently. Intermittent problems are almost impossible to locate. Apple Valley gave me a "loaner" and kept the Malibu almost a week. They repeatedly tested and retested the vehicle. Through a process of elimination, they determined a probable cause, and made appropriate repairs. This time it was a bit longer but the intermittent problem surfaced again. Once more, Apple Valley gave me a loaner, and wrung the systems out thoroughly. it appeared there may have been a programming problem. the price..... no charge. A few weeks later, the problem resurfaced. Once again, I was given a loaner, and they kept the car. They had a "committee" of techs and senior techs working on the problem, as well as contacting the factory service people. THEY FOUND THE CAUSE!!! They repaired it, and it is really fixed. They made the repair at no charge. The entire staff was courteous, understanding, listened to my lamentations. They did their absolute best to assure my satisfaction. I am absolutely committed to their service department. I cannot say enough good things about Apple Valley Chevy Service. I will never again be "penny wise and pound foolish" More
