Frustrating and Dishonest In Nov '18 I purchased a used vehicle from Campbell. I tried to make sure I asked all the right questions to ensure I was getting a good vehicle for t In Nov '18 I purchased a used vehicle from Campbell. I tried to make sure I asked all the right questions to ensure I was getting a good vehicle for the money I was spending. I was shown the inspection and repair audit papers from Campbell. In among the papers I noticed a notation in all caps: TIRE CONDITION RED, which I brought to my salesman, Scott's, attention. Scott went out to the service dept to ask about this notation and brought a man into the salesroom who said he thought they had replaced those tires. The man from the service dept then went outside to look at the tires. He came back inside and said to Scott and I that they had indeed put new tires on that car. Based on the answers to the questions I had asked and the assurance that vehicle had new tires, I purchased the car. At the conclusion of our transaction, Scott said that if I had any problems or concerns to call him. Two weeks after the expiration of my dealer warranty I did have an issue and called Scott and learned that there would be no help from Campbell. Fast forward to Dec '19, 13 months and 8,971 miles after I purchased my vehicle from Campbell. I had rec'd a recall notification from the manufacturer of my vehicle, I took it to a local dealership and asked that they also inspect my tires to ensure my car was ready for the upcoming winter weather. I rec'd a call from them almost immediately, I was told that one of my tires was below the industry discard standard and 2 of the tires were at the discard level. I called Scott at Campbell immediately, not because I thought he would do anything, but because I wanted him to know how frustrated I was to learn that the vehicle I bought had been misrepresented to me. Scott said that he would like to see the tires, so I immediately drove to Campbell, Scott inspected the tires, wrote down the size and said that maybe they could give me a discount on a new set of tires, but Scott also kept saying that there was nothing in writing that said they put new tires on the car. I agree, there is nothing in writing, but I had been told, in front of Scott, by a representative from the service dept that those were new tires. So at the conclusion of our conversation I told Scott I would wait to hear from him as to what Campbell would do for me regarding the tires. I left Campbell at roughly 3pm last Thu, it is now Tue and I have heard NOTHING from either Scott or Campbell. Yesterday we had freezing rain and snow move into our area so I went out and purchased new tires for my vehicle. In short, I would recommend that anyone purchasing a used vehicle from Campbell get an inspection from an independent mechanic and get EVERYTHING regarding your sale in writing because at Campbell their word and a handshake mean nothing. Also, even if I'm wrong about what I heard regarding the tires on this vehicle (which I'm not), shame on you Campbell for knowingly selling a vehicle that you know has TIRE CONDITION RED!!! More

Finally, after early retirement, I have the desire and means to buy a SHELBY GT 350. The sale was easy. Campbell had a pre-order with Ford that 'fit the bill' except for the color, while doing my internet search. There were other dealers that had the same car ordered with the color I wanted, but they insisted that I come speak to them before they would talk price. At Campbell though, I made my offer to Erik Blad (Sales Professional) at Campbell, about an half an hour later, Erik called me back with an acceptance. This was a cash sales, so everything went smooth as silk with Bill Fletcher (Sales Mgr.). They even showed my "PONY" on their Sales Floor for two week while the weather was inclement so I didn't have to drive it home in those conditions. Everybody that sees the "Performance Blue" really loves it. I am getting used to it also. It might be the better choice then black..... More
