I purchased my 2021 Ram eco diesel brand new in late 2022. About 6 month later I received recall notice for High Pressure Fuel pump recall. I immediately called my dealership, ( Cape Coral Chrysler Jeep 2022. About 6 month later I received recall notice for High Pressure Fuel pump recall. I immediately called my dealership, ( Cape Coral Chrysler Jeep Ram to make appt to fix the recall. Service told me part was not available for that fix. I sand ok, Ill check back in a few weeks. This went on for almost 15 months. At one point they said, we'll put you on the list. Never received a call. At least 6 check ins regarding this and was always told the same thing. Last week, 09/05/24 I received yet another postcard from Ram, this time it was marked URGENT. I called this dealership again, same story, part not available. I called the 800 number on the card, corporate recall and told them my story. They checked area dealerships and said Galeana in Ft Myers has the part. I called Galeana service and asked to make appt for recall regarding the high pressure fuel pump recall. They asked if I had bought the truck from them, I said no. They said well lets get you in the system and took all my info. Then when I gave them my VIN they said part was not in stock for my particular VIN. They said we will order the part and call you when we get it. 5 days later I get a call saying part is here when would you like to bring it in. They gave me appointment the vert next day and today, 9/12/2024 Galeana is fixing the recall for me on a truck I didnt buy from them. So for 15 months, numerous phone calls to Cape Coral Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram regarding my recall, I had to call another dealer and in 6 days my recall is fixed. Beware, service departments are vital part of a new vehicle purchase and Cape Coral failed miserably. Needless to say I'm very disappointed in their lack of concern and action on a recall marked URGENT for 15 months. More
