Issue, dash display blank out and freeze up. On 2/24/21 in for module replaced. Returned with faulty clock. Service adviser, Chris Reid advised he would call me back in 3 days to advise of fix. No call bac in for module replaced. Returned with faulty clock. Service adviser, Chris Reid advised he would call me back in 3 days to advise of fix. No call back from Chris not only in 3 days but no call back at all from Chris. Starting on 3/2 through 3/6 I left messages to his voice mail and with the secretary to give him the message personally. On 3/6 I finally reached out to the Service Director Ray Powers to advise him of my situation. On 3/11 I received the much anticipated call from Chris Reid. He advised me that he would have to order a new module which will take 2 weeks. Ray Powers also called me to check in with me. 2 weeks later, 3/25 no call back from Chris, again. Called again and left a message for Chris to see what the status was with the part. Received a call back, not from Chris but another person that the part was in and scheduled a repair appointment for 3/30. On 3/30 in for repair. Car returned with more problems and issues than when I brought it in!! Climate control, radio GPS, basically all functions not working except the clock did work. I did bring the car right back to them and they acknowledged the situation but could not do anything to correct it due to the service department being closed and I would have to bring it back to them the next day. At this time I think it would be reasonable to ask how it is they could return our car to us in this condition??!!. Apparently they did not do a check of the systems that was affected by the work they did. On 3/31, next day, the car apparently fixed itself as when I turned it on to my surprise it worked. I am not a big believer that things can fix themselves so I called the dealership I trust and purchased our car from in Michigan to seek their advise. The service adviser in Michigan advised that if the proper procedure is not followed in the installation of the module, it could act like this and hopefully not do any harm to the system. He said it is very important to disconnect the battery which requires some effort due to it being under some obstacles above the batteries. I called Ray Powers and advised him that it was working now and I would not be bringing the car in. As you can imagine, I have lost all faith, confidence and trust with the Cape Coral Chrysler dealership. As I think you will agree, it is not just one problem with my experience but all aspects of my experience. The service advisor, Chris Reid not knowing what he is doing and not following through with his communications throughout this issue. The mechanic that didn't check to see if what he did fixed the problem, let alone cause additional problems. If it wasn't for the Service Director, Ray Powers, I would still be waiting for a call back from Chris Reid and going around in circles. It goes without saying I have lost all confidence in the Cape coral Chrysler dealer to touch my car again. I also find it distasteful and irregular that the Service Advisor, Chris Reid would send me a email correspondence prior to your request for your survey to advise me that unless I can give him "all 10's" he wants me to "ignore the survey". Also he tries to lay a guilt tripe on me by saying that "anything less than a score of 10 can affect how I provide for my family." I can forward a copy of his email to you if you are interested. I would also like to know if Chris's email /communications are approved by your dealership? I would assume that he advises other costumers of yours with similar advise to your survey. They were amazing. Mike the advisor was totally awesome. They got my van in and fixed it within the day. They got me a rental to get to work and kept me in the loop of everything with my van. I bring my vehicle and pay higher rates to have my vehicle maintained. I mean physically maintained. not submitting a check list as green when last time my brakes were yellow. As far as I know brake vehicle maintained. I mean physically maintained. not submitting a check list as green when last time my brakes were yellow. As far as I know brakes wear not gain substance over time. Left there and wiper fluid was low not refilled. Do not trust your vehicle to this place they charge but do not do the maintenance they charge you for. The vehicle inspection is a joke dont rely on it. I expect my vehicle to be maintained at a dealership not just charged to say they are doing it. Not that im a jiffy lube or tires plus fan of qualified mechanics but i would never trust that so if your dealer is worst then find someone you can trust. Probably yourself is best in fort myers. Galeana does a much better job. Cape is a sales pitch and falsifies its records to make it look like they checked your vehicle out. Check your oil when you leave. This has been going on for over a year now since I bought the 2 for 1 oil change never happy with the service just couldnt wait till my last oil change was completed so I could go elsewhere. More
I came to the dealership without an appointment. They happily greeted me and took my car in quickly. I was there for an oil change but as it turned out my battery was replaced under warranty.
