I had an appointment for 8:00 am, arrived at 7:40 am and was the second person at the shop. Immediately I was told that the techs were behind from yesterday’s work and that normal checkout on my new EV at 1 was the second person at the shop. Relatively good experience, but the used car buying experience could be improved. The issue stems from the "sell-at-all-costs" philosophy that most dealerships have, including this one. In my case, I wanted to get an inspection before purchasing a used car - a normal part of the buying process. Will they allow 24 hours for the task? No. I had to wait until other appointments cleared before I could. Then I only had 4 hours because "someone was coming the next day". Also, after having the inspection done (within 4 hours) and deciding to buy, I had to buy that day (after hours) or else I was told that the person coming in the next day would have "dibs" on the car since they were coming from a way away to test drive it. While I can understand the dealership's position, people can be flaky, they should allow some window for getting and inspection done and then a non-rushed buying experience when the decision is to move forward with a car. In my case, I was committed and had the time to manage the process and get everything done quickly, but I cannot say that it was a overall pleasant experience. I would have preferred something less rushed. More
