A very good service experience: the parts person quickly figured out what part needed ordering. A few days later I brought the car back and the part was installed efficiently – and the car was washed as a n figured out what part needed ordering. A few days later I brought the car back and the part was installed efficiently – and the car was washed as a nice bonus. I received periodic status updates. More
My experience started well as I bought a CPO Legacy for my daughter’s college car and wrote a check for almost $26,000 on 3/8/26. When we got home we realized the trunk was not popping open and staying up. my daughter’s college car and wrote a check for almost $26,000 on 3/8/26. When we got home we realized the trunk was not popping open and staying up. Research stated an easy fix replacing faulty lift struts which should had been caught during the CPO inspection. Sales told me to bring in the car at the open 8am but could not guarantee it would be fixed that day. I live about 75 miles away and work in San Francisco and said can only do during the weekend. They could not guarantee me an appointment and recommended I make a day out of visiting San Jose or drop off the car to pick up the next day. I told them not possible as I lived too far away, could not understand why an appointment could not be made for me, and the car repaired as we even sent a video of the issue. I was told Sales was speaking with the Service manager, parts were available, and they were coordinating an appointment. I told them I will be in Saturday 3/14 before the 8am open and got a thumbs up. Upon arrival that morning, Service did not have me for an appointment and said they were booked. They said I can leave the car but may need to pick up Monday. I told them I live too far away and not possible. The assistant service mgr CJ spoke with me, looked at the car, empathized with my situation, and helped me. The Service Associate Anthony got me in, took care of me, and everyone worked together to get me out before 10am. I was very grateful to CJ and Anthony and that is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. I’d prefer to leave 3.5 stars but did not have the option and could not leave 4 stars out of principle. This situation should had been handled more professionally especially for someone who just got $26,000 deducted from their bank account. I am a serious consumer who deserved better customer service. I had to drive back 75 miles to San Jose to fix a car due to something missed on the CPO inspection. All I needed was to hear “we apologize for missing that, come in and we’ll take care of you.” Essentially that is what happened but in such a convoluted, circuitous manner. I was extremely frustrated that Saturday morning as I started my commute at 6:45am on my day off to hear no appointment and need to leave my car to pick up Monday. I hope you understand my predicament and empathize with my frustrations. I cannot recommend your dealership but can recommend CJ and Anthony as exemplary employees and can go back for service. Lastly I still have not received the CPO paperwork which concerns me that I was sold a vehicle on the false pretense of CPO but was not as it failed inspection and that is why the trunk was broken along with other reasons. My concern is there are other issues being concealed to my detriment. I have money and could had been a good return customer. I also know a lot of people with money and could had been a good advocate for your dealership referring business your way. Now all I am left with is a bad taste in my mouth and will probably never do business with you all again; let alone refer anyone to Capitol Subaru. I do want to say Angelo was a pleasure to work with though. More
I’m incredibly fortunate to have found Joshua Coon at Capitol Subaru as my sales representative. He went above and beyond to assist me throughout the entire leasing process including price negotiations and car selections. Even after 11 pm, he patiently waited until I was completely satisfied with my lease and the car. Before I left the dealership, Josh had already scheduled me for the maintenance service to ensure my car was taken care of. After a few days, he would check on me to see how I was doing with the car. While everyone else in the dealership is also incredible and helpful, Josh stands out as the best. More
Overall experience was good. Sales reps knew their stuff and were polite, friendly, and professional. Only negative was information flow between various departments. Specifica Sales reps knew their stuff and were polite, friendly, and professional. Only negative was information flow between various departments. Specifically having to repeatedly list all accessories for each person along the chain from sales to more supervisor to finance to contract. Somehow, my name was spelled correctly on most paperwork, but a typo in some others. All corrected quickly, though, with sincere apologies from staff. More
