Wanted to get AC fixed and was told of an airbag recall. Decided to take care of both but then I got a receipt saying I’d have to pay $150 just for them to diagnose the AC issue? That is way too much for someone just to assess the issue. Pep Boys quoted me $35 to assess it. That is way more enticing than paying triple the price. I understand I’m getting serviced with genuine Toyota parts and service, but come on, $150 just to look at it?!?. That’s 10 hours of work for me. That’s not including parts and labor?!?! It was embarrassing having to cancel my AC service because I could not afford it because I live paycheck to paycheck. Stinks that I cant get my toyota serviced at a toyota dealership, instead have to settle for 3rd party. Also, the shuttle service really needs to work on calling customers back who leave messages. Called left a message. An hour later called 2 more times and decided the only way I was going be able to pick up my car was to walk. so I walked in hot weather to pick up my car. Still NEVER received a call back. Maybe I wasn’t important because I only received a free recall service. But I hope this issue is brought up. More

They also tend to have some type of promotion going (35% on my last maintenance), which really helps on the final bill. More
