My daughter and I looked for a specific car online with CarMax. We found one match and it was delivered to the local dealership in south Austin. I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase, the whole process was seamless. The individuals that I dealt with were courteous, friendly and very professional. Service was good, but the day I decided to take my truck they decided to tamper with something they were unfamiliar with. Which led to my truck riding without air suspension for three weeks, I was informed they decided to tamper with something they were unfamiliar with. Which led to my truck riding without air suspension for three weeks, I was informed about this the day of purchase and was told they would schedule a service for it. I had to go out of my way for THREE weeks to finally get something scheduled because service was getting my service order from the sales guy. I finally get a response on when I can schedule an appointment, just my luck only morning appointments Monday- Friday. So now I have to miss a day of work after buying this expensive truck that I have payments on. I ask for some type of compensation or reimbursement for this because it was CARMAX fault to begin with. Now I have to deal with repercussions with being out a day of work, and I dont have my new truck I just bought because CarMax didnt take the time to look under the truck and OBVIOUSLY see that those stem valves are connected to something about the two back tires! It took me 5 minutes to see that it was connect to something important. More

Well the car is great except for one problem which they didnt notice and I dont believe is covered under the extended warranty I paid for, bringing the cost of my car to over 18k, one of the windows doesn' didnt notice and I dont believe is covered under the extended warranty I paid for, bringing the cost of my car to over 18k, one of the windows doesn't go all the way up. Luckily we haven't had any bad rain storms. More

I ordered and bought a 2017 Ford C Max. When it arrived, the check engine light was on. At first service dept thought it was the battery. Then, it took 3 or 4 days to decide that it was When it arrived, the check engine light was on. At first service dept thought it was the battery. Then, it took 3 or 4 days to decide that it was the Air Conditioners. I was not able to take the car that I just paid for home with me. AND then !!!! the check engine light was determined to be on because there was a problem with the gas pedal.. and it would take a week to get the part and fix it. It was the Christmas 2025 holidays. I had Buyer Remorse over my original purchase. I ordered another Ford C Max. It was to come from the Houston area... 200 miles south of Austin. It was supposed to be delivered Jan 5, 2026. Today, Jan 7, I get an email saying that it is finally here, but in service dept being checked out !!! I am not very happy nor confident in CAR MAX More

I got a Nissan Sentra, they could of serviced the car way better before selling it to me at the high price they did. First, the wipers are installed too low and sit weird when in off position. Second, the transmission fluid I ended up changing myself because it was very dark and came out with a couple of metal pieces too. Third, they put new tires only in the back. For the price of the car they could of done all new tires. Fourth, engine air filter was somewhat dirty, not terribly bad, but at how cheap it is to change, they should of changed it. Inspect all fluids, filters, etc. and ask for proper service before buying a car, I feel they are cheapening out on details and it's not right for the price they charge. Overall nice car, and would buy again. More
