Service at this CarMax location was good. I was greeted right away, didn’t have to wait for my appointment, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The test drive went smoothly, and the purchase process was fairly easy. However, plan on spending at least 3 hours there from arrival to leaving with the car. I’m giving only 3 stars because of a big issue with the vehicle. CarMax did a great job hiding the smell of cigarette smoke. When I bought the car, I didn’t notice it right away. I went on a short vacation, and by the time I got back, the odor was very strong. I also found cigarettes under the seat. The listing never mentioned it had been smoked in. Since I was past the 10-day return window, they said there wasn’t much they could do. After showing my receipt, they offered a $250 credit voucher (most odor removal fees are $500+ and a free cabin filter replacement (worth about $30). The manager, Paul, was not helpful. He basically made fun of me for not noticing sooner and implied that I might have smoked in the car myself. All in all I love the car and the service was good, but hiding something like that made me walk away with a bad taste in my mouth. I really like the car and the service was solid overall, but hiding the smoke issue left a bad taste in my mouth. Advice for buyers: CarMax usually provides a good experience and will take care of you within the 10-day window. However, they don’t always disclose odors (and they can mask them well). Don’t take a long trip right after buying—inspect the car thoroughly and be ready to return it quickly if needed. More

I went in casually just looking, not thinking of buying a car. I met salesman Jonathan (great guy btw!) He was truly an amazing help to both my fiancée and I. I didn’t even think I my credit could handle a c car. I met salesman Jonathan (great guy btw!) He was truly an amazing help to both my fiancée and I. I didn’t even think I my credit could handle a car loan without a co-signer, Definitely walked out of there without needing a co-signer and a beautiful car. When looking for cars, I told Jonathan all my needs in my potential car and he made sure to show me a car that met and surpassed all of my needs and expectations. The process and paperwork after was simple and quick. Great experience. Thank you to the CarMax team, still very happy and satisfied with my vehicle exactly 2 weeks later. More
