STAY AWAY! We bought a 2017 Honda Pilot from CarSense in January 2021. There were scratches on the vehicle and CarSense said they would get them out as part of their No Scratches guarantee. We live 45 minutes away and had to take a day off work to come down and drop the car off for this work as they do not have loaner cars to give out when doing service. Whatever. Let's just get this done. When we got the car home in the sunlight the next day all of the scratches still existed. I used to do detail work and it was clear they just slapped a whole bunch of wax on the scratches to try and hide. Clear as day, all still there... Here's where it gets so much worse- The Fuel Emissions light came on prior to the 'detail' appointment. We asked that they look into while it was in the shop. Service rep claims likely just a computer error. To be safe we took to Honda. Turns out it was the Fuel Injector. Okay, if that's it I can live, it's covered under warranty. That wasn't just it. I know the service guy at Honda and had him do a look over at the car while it was there and we ended up needing the following: -All new brakes - pads and resurfacing - Brakes were at a 3. CarSense disputes this. No way CarSense- we barely drove the car in the 1 month of ownership. --2 filters needed replacing -Serpentine belt worn and cracked needed replacing -Brake fluid low & discolored- needed replacing -Transmission Fluid showed no history of being changed - needed drained & filled -Rear diff fluid needed to be drained and filled -Front heated seat never worked - replaced heater pad in seat Grand Total: $1,681.97 Called CarSense to make this right. Emailed them a copy of the invoice from the work done at Honda. They wouldn't pay for a dime of work. Unbelievable. They complained that I didn't take the car to them. Why would I trust them to do major work if they couldn't even address a few scratches on the car? Guy said well you should've given us a second chance. CarSense said they wouldn't cover any of the issues because they say I got scammed from Honda. Only scam here is CarSense. UPDATE: Still nothing from CarSense/CarShop. Their GM called me as the review got their attention. Still offered zero solution to all of these problems. Continued to question why I didnt take the car back to them. I explained A.) that I didnt trust their shop's ability to do any work as they couldnt even fix the scratches on my car and B.) that it was a complete inconvenience for me and my wife to both take off work to drive two cars down there to leave the SUV with them. He mentioned just using one of their loaner cars. I find this hillarious as we asked about a loaner twice- once from our sales rep Tim and the other time asked while booking the detail work. both employees said they don't have loaner vehicles. What a complete disaster of a dealership and leadership team. Tons of miscommunications, and the complete lack of standing by their product is simply inexcusable. Not to mention the horrendous excuse of a body shop that can't fulfill their dealership promise of no scratches, dings, or dents!...

Dear Mr. Onori, thank you for purchasing your 2017 Honda Pilot from CarShop in Hatfield. As disclosed and signed for at purchase, your vehicle comes with a free 6 month/6,000 mile warranty from CarShop - and any repairs performed under this warranty must be evaluated and completed by a CarShop Service Department technician. Requiring this warranty work to be completed at CarShop enables us to investigate and verify any issues or concerns with your vehicle - and review them directly with you at no charge. You certainly have the right to take your vehicle to any repair facility of your choice. However, since you chose to take your vehicle to a Honda dealer, and did not contact us until after you had authorized all repairs, we have no way to verify the concerns that the Honda dealer charged you for – and therefore, these items are not covered under the CarShop 6 month/6,000 mile warranty.

We had to go to Honda for the Fuel Injector anyways and if your dealership completely wasted our time and couldn't even address a few scratches properly, how were we to trust you could handle major issues with the vehicle? While I appreciate you taking the time to respond, I must say that the lack of ownership by CarSense/CarShop is astounding.

I've purchased three great cars from Carsense over the years. I've also taken friends there who made purchases as well. My recent purchase was a 2018 Mustang. After a very bad experience with Vroom, it was like "coming home" to Carsense and having my confidence restored that good pre-owned cars really do exist! My salesperson was so approachable and sincere, he even noticed a slight imperfection as we were looking over the car at delivery and made sure I had a "We Owe" immediately processed so it would be taken care of. Carsense is a no-pressure atmostphere that makes customers feel comfortable and at ease with their buying experience.

I applied for financing online. That same day I got contacted by Ethan Bell. He asked me what I was looking to get. I explained I have low credit score, that I’m 6’4”, and that I must be able to fit in it. I also explained how I would love to have cruise control and a back up camera. After a few min he calls me back and said based on your credit and what I have told him he has a Nissan Altima S 2018. Ethan sent me a link to the website. I scheduled a time to come test drive two days later. When I arrived at the dealer the car was ready. He handed me the keys. I took it out on the road and instantly fell in love. Signed the paperwork that day. I’m very excited with my first car. I owe it all to Ethan.

DO NOT BUY THEIR ALLSTATE "Warranty". I bought a 2016 jeep grand Cherokee limited with about 47k miles on the dash from Car sense in January of 2020, 7 months later a aluminum coolant pipe started to spray out coolant while I was driving. I took it to a Certified Mechanic who price the work and labor at $600. The Mechanic Called my "Warranty" that car sense sold me and low be hold.. they will not Cover not even a dime. I called Car sense and low and behold...you got it. They will not cover it nor would they even discount the service. AGAIN DO NOT BUY THERE WARRTY THEY ARE OFFERING and if so really do your homework or you will regret it.
