"Great Service Dept."

Once again Carlton Motorcars and David Knutti have provided great service on my 2010 E350. Highly recommend them for service. As with any MB's, the cost is somewhat pricey, but Carlton tries to keep it as reasonable as possible. This includes not getting some services due to low mileage on the car. Based on previous experiences I have far more confidence in Carlton than an independent. Well worth the little extra you pay over an independent.

"WAY OVERPRICED!!!"

Had service done here today as were I bought my Mercedes. I got a "Service B" which includes oil change, cabin filter, brake fluid changed. And I Also got the transmission flushed per their recommendation. Just this stuff... $970.00 I called Mercedes in Charlotte and they were half the price. I also asked to replace the spark plugs (4) and their yore was over $380.00. I called Hendricks Mercedes in Charlotte and they said it's only 220.00 parts and labor. Maybe the daughter that took over the dealership should stop taking her family on private jets all the time!!!! (I personally know they do) aka I know the pilot. Done with this place!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

"Best Service Ever!"

- Ditch Jaguar BUY Mercedes Benz

I used to be in love with my Jaguar until I had it serviced a few times by the Greenville Jaguar dealership. After that experience I vowed my next car would be anything but a Jaguar. I purchased my Mercedes E400 from Carlton which was a pleasant experience, but I must say Sammy in the service department took it to it to the next level. He restored my faith in dealership service departments. The service was completed in a timely manner, he was courteous and professional and he even remembered to reset my backup mirrors that I happened to mention in passing. My compliments to Sammy and the team at Carlton Mercedes Benz.

"Charges above the national average"

I had to have my car towed 200 miles to them as I had just moved to Greenville and it was a Sunday. They took six business days to replace a starter. The starter was not new, but rebuilt and the total charge for part and labor was almost $1,000. They gave me a rental car, but no Mercedes loaner. When I mentioned to service manager they were higher than national average of Mercedes dealers he noted they had done a dianostic in addition to labor for starter. For a simple starter it took a week and half and $1,000. I would not buy a car, or have future service done there. They are much higher than other Mercedes dealers in cities larger than Greenville like Atlanta, Dallas, etc. I got quotes that were $200 to $300 less.

Carlton Motorcars responded

We always strive to give the best service, when this does not happen we examine the reasons and use it for training. Although there were plenty of circumstances surrounding this event we are none the less disappointed that our client did not feel he received an 'Excellent Experience.' We are constantly checking our prices for both parts and labor and we always try to be competitive and in line with our surrounding dealers.

"Excellent customer service"

Once again, Carlton service department provided excellent service. Did what was required and did not try to sell me services I did not need. They got some work done under extended warranty, which others may not have done. Car was ready earlier than expected. Incidentally, I very seldom (almost never) give maximum ratings to businesses or people.

"Above & Beyond In Every Respect!"

Within the last week (12/14) I purchased my 3rd car from this amazing dealership. I can't imagine going anywhere else for a new Mercedes. My salesman (Robin Rollins) is so attentive, friendly and knowledgable about all aspects of the various vehicles, and the various elements of the actual purchase agreement that I feel like I truly have a friend who is looking out for my best interests in guiding me through the process.The fact is, I did not go in expecting to buy a new car, I was bringing my current car in for service, knowing that the lease would be expiring in three months. After discussing the matter with Robin, I realized there was no better time than the present to make the move into a new vehicle, I have loved the two Mercedes I have purchase in the past and am confident that this new one will be just as wonderful as the others. Their service department is also a major reason to purchase from Carlton. Sammy Hood and his partners bend over backward to take care of both you and your car. This is a remarkable dealership, I give them 5 big stars!!

"Excellent service"

Took my vehicle in for annual service. Due to very low mileage, David Knutti, the service advisor, recommended postponing a couple of expensive items until next service. He also accepted an old coupon for a service discount. His attention has been excellent over the years. Even though I only come in once a year, they treat me as a valued customer. Great people, great service. While not atypical for "luxury" makes, MB service costs are fairly high. However, I would never use an independent for service.

"Service is better than the car!"

Have had my 2010 E350 for over four years. The buying experience went well and I got a fair deal. Joel Johnson, sales consultant. is no longer there, but he provided excellent service. He did not badger me, but let me take plenty of time to decide whether or not to purchase a car. Did not pressure me to buy a car off the lot, but gave me an excellent price on ordering one from Germany. Carlton has delivered excellent service every time that I have taken it in. They had to keep car for over three days at one point due to computer issues, but provided a loaner C class. While everyone in service has been helpful, I have been especially impressed with David Knutti, service advisor. He always provides excellent service, takes time to discuss issues and makes sure everything gets done timely. Latest example is I recently sent him an e-mail about a phone issue and he called me within a couple of hours and gave me instructions on how to correct the problem. Without having to drive to dealership. Sammy Hood has also been very good, but primarily have worked with Mr. Knutti. Excellent service even though they know they will only see me once a year. As title says, I wish the car was as good as the dealership. It's a very good car and I really like it, but far too many issues for this class. Fortunately all of them have been repaired at no cost to me. Carlton service dept. has had a role in making that happen. Prices are high, but that is because of everything M-B wants done to the cars as "routine" services. Mr. Knutti and Carlton do what they can to keep prices down. Highly recommend Carlton and its service dept.

"This dealership is AWFUL. They have the worst customer..."

This dealership is AWFUL. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They never fix the car correctly. They do not follow protocol. My car comes back worse then when i brought it. Save yourself the trouble, NEVER go here. Do NOT associate with this people. This dealership is a joke. It is a sad excuse for Mercedes. Everyone I have met that has been here regrets it. Do not go.
