On 6/24/2025 I received a 2018 Volkswagen Passat 2. 0T Sedan that I purchased the previous week on Carvanas website. The vehicle was in the shop since 6/30. The odometer didn't even say the correct mileage when the car was delivered. On 6/25 I called Carvana to report that there is a knocking noise in the front of the car and I'd like to get it looked at. Carvana advised me to take it to the dealer. On Thursday I went to the VW mechanic in Watertown, MA. They advised me that they did not have a loaner and if I bring it in the following day (Friday) they would probably have it all weekend, so they advised I bring it in first thing Monday morning. At this time the car would officially be out of the on the 7th day, no questions asked return policy. However, I knew there was an issue on day 2. That means this car did not pass the guaranteed 150 point inspection. When I called carvana they instructed me to call silver rock to arrange the repairs. Once the car was at the dealer they were informed of a brake issue. Upon hearing this they told me I would be responsible for the brake pads. I immediately reached out to carvana to discuss this stating this is how they gave the car to me and it's absurd that I would be expected to cover anything. The next week when I went to pick up the car I was informed that although they had completed the brakes they were waiting on silver rock to confirm whether or not they would be approving removal of the transmission because there was an issue with the axle and transmission and they couldn't figure it out until they remove the transmission. I decided at that point that since they put my safety at risk with bad brakes and a transmission issue it would be in my best interests to return the car. I've been paying for insurance on the car because at some point I'd have to pick it up for the return and legally myself and the mechanic wouldn't be able to drive/park it without insurance. But I have not driven the car since day 6. $270 for insurance and the second payment has been made because they haven't picked up the car. Multiple returns were scheduled. The first 2 times were cancelled because silver rock had not paid the mechanic therefore if I were to pick it up I would have been responsible for the costs. Then they scheduled 2 subsequent returns without contacting me. The money and inconvenience have taken a toll on me and my wallet. I am unable to even think about purchasing another car until I get the financial aspect of this disaster resolved because they have not dissolved the loan and they say they can't until the car is in their possession. 6/22 I retrieve the vehicle from Boston Volkswagen, however I was charged $234. I immediately get on the phone with carvana and they conference in silver rock. No one seems to know why I paid. Now I have to print and submit a reimbursement form. They will review within 5 days, then they will issue a checks within 10-14 days so those are more funds tied up. Carvana scheduled a pick-up without my knowledge. When carvana arrived to pick up the vehicle they asked me to sign paperwork stating that I've received a refund (I haven't), that I would waive damages, shipping fee, taxes and registration. I only drove the car for 6 days, and when I spoke to Joey initially he said that I would be getting a full refund. After putting my safety at risk, taking time off of work, as well as the financial stream and stress they refused to take the car back. DO NOT RECOMMEND Carvana! More

The driver gave us a refund check for $6,690.18, but it was invalid — no routing or account number. We were told by our Carvana advocate that the correct check would be overnighted and arrive by July 9. As of July 11, we still haven’t received anything. We’ve called multiple times and were told to wait until our scheduled call on July 13. Today we spoke to a lead named Jasmine who admitted the check was never even reissued, and now they claim it won’t be issued until July 15. Carvana needs to take responsibility and follow through on their promises. More

It hurts me to write this because I once had a good experience with Carvana. But when a drunk driver blew through a red light and totaled my vehicle, I tried purchasing from Carvana again. The insuranc experience with Carvana. But when a drunk driver blew through a red light and totaled my vehicle, I tried purchasing from Carvana again. The insurance company totaled the vehicle, issued a payment to Carvana and I had gap insurance that covered the remainder of the loan. Carvana insisted that it never got the gap payment and said I would have to pay the thousands left over after the original insurance payment before I could buy another vehicle from them. Sorry, but I don't have thousands of dollars just lying around after a down payment to pay that off and for Carvana to issue a refund whenever it decides to admit that it got the gap money. I've argued for hours with multiple "customer service" people about it, trying to get the hold released from my new purchase, but to no avail. As a result, I've canceled the purchase and I won't go back to Carvana again. More
Carvana cancelled my order without telling me. I had completed all the paperwork and had my bank send them a check so they had the money in hand. They said I didn't meet the deadline, but I have the FedEx tracking number to prove that the deadline was met. Then they told me that the car that was supposed to be delivered today is no longer available. If you don't finance with them at 10% interest, they make it very difficult. DO NOT RECOMMEND. More

The next day, once the car had dried off, I noticed that the car was filthy, there were a few scratches, and 3 of the 4 wheels were badly scuffed. None of this was disclosed on their website. I contacted them about the cosmetic issues on the wheels to which they instructed me to contact SilverRock (Warranty company) who would get it all sorted out for me. I went through the process of contacting SilverRock. This is not something that I felt like doing with a new to me car. After 10 days, I hadn't heard anything and contacted SilverRock once again. They said my claim was denied due to the issues being cosmetic (what??) and said Carvana needs to take care of it as they sold the car like this. I contacted Carvana who said there was nothing they could do because I was outside of my 7 day window. I have spent a ton of time between Carvana and SilverRock who are just pointing back and forth at each other, and I am screwed as the consumer. This is the second and absolute last car I will ever purchase from Carvana. I would highly recommend staying away from purchasing a vehicle from Carvana or a warranty from SilverRock. Neither company will stand behind their product and neither will support you as the customer. More
I’m an authorized user on my grandmothers account. Decided to buy her a new car and paid 790$ as a deposit. It’s been a few business days. Called and refund was NEVER even initiated. They have horribl Decided to buy her a new car and paid 790$ as a deposit. It’s been a few business days. Called and refund was NEVER even initiated. They have horrible service with generic answers and cannot transfer you to higher ups that can handle such issues. Prior I’ve been told I’ll get a call back in 24 hours 3 times. No calls ever made. I will be filing a police report tomorrow against carvana for what seems like attempted theft by refusing to cooperate with my return. Carvana is only good if your credit isn’t great and you can’t truly get approved anywhere as they approve repos and poor credit. Would never recommend if you can fix your credit and wait or find a dealer that will work with you and truly cares. THEY HAVE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH RETURNS ON DEPOSITS AND THIS IS WIDELY KNOWN. DO YOUR RESEARCH UNLIKE MYSELF! ALSO ADVOCATES NEVER GIVE PRECISE CORRECT INFORMATION ON SWITCHES AND BALANCES. CALLED TWICE (TO REALLY CONFIRM) & WAS GIVEN A WRONG DOLLAR AMOUNT FOR CAR SWITCH. TOOK A MANAGER TO EXPLAIN WHY IT COST EVEN MORE, SORT IT OUT AND EXPLAIN. ANYTHING OTHER THAN THAT IS JUST A POOR CALL CENTER WITH LIMITED HELP, GENERIC RESPONSES THAT SOUND SCRIPTED, AND HORRIBLE CALL SUPPORT SETUP WITH NO TRANSFERS TO MANAGERS OR UNDERWRITING FOR CORRECT AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Carvana was willing to finance my Honda Civic SI when it felt like no one else would and for a (bit hefty) fee they even delivered it. The car was beautiful. The only thing they missed was the trunk release cable button wasn’t working but that’s no big deal since they fob and actual handle worked perfectly. I put 60k miles on that car with zero issues before it met an untimely end (stupid deer 🦌) More
I purchased a car through Carvana and also sold/traded my then-current car, a Ford. The whole process seemed so easy! But then the car I purchased (a Corsair) was delivered. It had much more cosmetic damage then-current car, a Ford. The whole process seemed so easy! But then the car I purchased (a Corsair) was delivered. It had much more cosmetic damage than shown on the Carvana site. I am not talking about small scratches; I am talking about paint overspray all over the windshield and side mirrors, peeling paint, and lifting rubber seals. I felt sick for trading my car (Ford) and getting this hot mess. I arranged for a new vehicle (Nautilus) to be delivered and this Corsair picked up. The Nautilus delivery and Corsair pick-up were rescheduled 3 times. Each reschedule was another week of waiting. This means I waited 3 weeks without the new car. But since they took my Ford for a trade when they dropped off the first car the only car I had access to was the messed up one they originally delivered. They did tell me I could drive 400 miles....okay but over what is now almost a month, 400 miles doesn't go far. I asked to pick the Nautilus up from Carvana since they kept delaying delivery because Carvana was only 20 minutes away. They would not allow a faster pick up. They did tell me the Nautilus was there and ready...but I am thinking it was not. Here is why... fast forward TWENTY days and I still have the Corsair in my driveway. They will not pick the darn thing up! I canceled all business with them, canceled the new car, and am awaiting my check for the Ford they took, I have already purchased a car from a local dealer but this Corsair is still here sitting in my driveway. They have no idea it is here. Whenever I call about someone picking it up, they do not know I have it. I have told them 4 times I have this car. So was it a gift? lolol. I guess if it was I should give them a 5-star rating. I have no clue how they have any positive reviews. My situation has been horrific. I am trying to laugh about it because it is so bizarre. But I have lost 3 days of work and numerous hours talking to multiple people who have no idea what is happening. Steer clear :-) More
