I have negative equity with them after having the car 7 months after putting $9000 down. Customer service was horrible and they don’t care. They got your money the first time and that’s all that matters to them. I feel like I’ve been robbed. I will never recommend this company to anyone. More

He informed me the car was in excellent condition EXCEPT that it had been infested by rodents. He discovered this when he removed the cabin air filter -- apparently that's not on Carvana's billion point inspection??? -- and a cache of nut shells and rodent feces fell out. Rodents carry hantavirus, among other things; I'd just spent an hour with the A/C on, blowing in my face, on a warm June day...as I drove the car to the mechanic. I was enraged, disgusted, afraid. (If you google "hantavirus", it says "some people live". There is no treatment for hantavirus.) Mechanic also reported a variety of problems with electronic components -- evidence that rodents had chewed on the wires. (Apparently some auto makers began using soy-based coatings on wiring in the 2010's, and Honda Fit is more prone than average to damage like this. Crappy way for me to find that out.) I called Carvana same day to tell them about the problem as I contemplated whether to attempt repair (under warranty) or simply return the car. One significant consideration is that I need a vehicle, and I'd traded in my car to them. They told me before I left the lot that day that if I returned the 2019 Fit, my trade-in would be gone. After consulting wise associates, I called them to request that they either (a) return my trade-in, (b) give me a loaner until I could buy another vehicle (NOT from them!!!), or (c) give me $$ to pay for a rental vehicle. They refused; supervisor refused, 3rd level up refused. At that point I asked them to put their refusal in writing and told them that I was going to go to the State Attorney General, the BBB, and post reviews everywhere I could find. At that point 3rd Level put me on hold and...voila! Turns out my trade-in was still sitting on their lot. They returned my trade-in to me when they came to my home to pick up their disgusting vehicle. Challenges continued while I tried to obtain the title to my trade-in. I spent another couple hours on the phone while they tried to figure that out. Blah blah blah. HUGE waste of my time. I will NEVER do business with Carvana again and would advise the same to everyone. (I also had problems with CarMax, but they at least allow you to have the vehicle inspected before you purchase.) please do not buy through Carvana. I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Bought a car from them, first couple of months everything was great. shortly after their 100 day warranty the car started having electrical issues with the window, needed to replace all 4 tires and now the transmission went completely out. I haven’t had the car even for 6 months. reached out to Carvana and was told since the warranty is out they can’t help me. The transmission is a $5k+ repair and the car isn’t drive able. they won’t take the car as a trade in so I can get another car because it doesn’t drive….I’m gonna have to voluntarily repo this car and take the hit on my credit because they sold me a car with a transmission going out. customer service only apologized and offered me no help or solutions beyond trying to trade it in…even though they know it needs to be drivable to be traded. super lame. they screwed me. My vehicle was delivered with clear inspection failures that should have been caught before delivery, including tires measuring 3/32 (well below Carvana’s stated 5/32 minimum), missing belly pan and hardware, failed air filters, and a scratched windshield caused by a damaged wiper arm. Despite Carvana’s “150-point inspection” guarantee, I had to pay out-of-pocket for immediate repairs. When I contacted Carvana, I was repeatedly directed to SilverRock warranty, which does not cover pre-existing inspection failures. After weeks of back and forth, I received only partial reimbursement, leaving me with over $2,700 in unresolved costs. Carvana eventually offered limited “goodwill compensation,” but this fell far short of addressing the documented issues. The process was stressful, time-consuming, and left me feeling misled as a returning customer. Carvana advertises peace of mind and rigorous inspections, but my experience proved otherwise. Unless Carvana improves accountability and transparency with its inspection process, I would strongly caution others to reconsider. More

I purchased a 2014 Corvette from Carvana in May 2025. I was willing to live with those issues because the car was a rare find and some were common for this model year. The water intrusion did not appear severe, and I replaced the windshield at my own expense believing that resolved it. Unfortunately, additional problems appeared soon after: interior trim pieces coming loose, audio system sounding faulty, and the transmission intermittently popping out of first and second gear. Then, a heavy rain revealed the water leak was still significant despite the windshield replacement. By that point, the 7-day return period had expired. Carvana refused to take responsibility and referred me to their warranty partner, SilverRock. SilverRock only directed me to small local shops unqualified to work on a high-performance car, and a dealer told me SilverRock would almost certainly deny any claims related to water intrusion or leaks. When I tried to escalate for a buyback, I got nothing but runaround: repeated transfers, promises of follow-up that never came, and no resolution. Eventually, my only option was to sell the car back to Carvana at a steep loss. Not only did I lose over $10,000 in less than 3 months, Carvana even reduced their final offer by $500 for “cosmetic flaws” that were present when they originally sold me the vehicle. I did not feel it was right to sell the car to an individual buyer knowing it had undisclosed water damage, but I felt less bad returning it to Carvana since they sold it to me this way. Carvana advertises peace of mind and rigorous inspections. Instead, they sold me a car with undisclosed water damage, denied responsibility, and forced me to absorb a massive financial loss. More
Just wanted to share how terrible carvana is. I found and confirmed pickup for a vehicle, they confirmed the appointment and everything was fine. They then wanted me to fund the purchase and I ha I found and confirmed pickup for a vehicle, they confirmed the appointment and everything was fine. They then wanted me to fund the purchase and I haven’t even seen the vehicle lol. Who does that? They must really be desperate. Needless to say they missed two deals due to their failing business practices. In speaking with my financial institution the told me not to sign anything until I see the vehicle in person. Buyer beware. More
I purchased a vehicle through Carvana, and my delivery has already been delayed without any clear explanation. I recently placed an order for the vehicle listed below: (Can't link this), and my order was cancelled. After re-placing the order, it was declined again with the only explanation being that the documen (Can't link this), and my order was cancelled. After re-placing the order, it was declined again with the only explanation being that the documents I provided could not be verified. Earlier today, I spoke with an “Underwriter” to discuss how I could apply my payment, as I was planning to wire the funds. Instead, I was informed that I would need to provide a cashier’s check. During that call, I also disclosed that I intended to purchase the vehicle using my Trust account, but was told that Carvana policies do not allow this. I then made it clear that I was fully prepared to provide a cashier’s check drawn from my personal checking account. Despite this, I was not given the opportunity to meet the payment requirements before the original deadline, and my order was cancelled outright. When I attempted to call back, I was met with an automated message stating that the cancellation was final, with no option to speak with a representative. This process has been extremely frustrating. I feel that I have wasted significant time and incurred unnecessary expenses (such as shipping fees) without being given a fair opportunity to resolve the issue. More
On 6/24/2025 I received a 2018 Volkswagen Passat 2. 0T Sedan that I purchased the previous week on Carvanas website. The vehicle was in the shop since 6/30. The odometer didn't even say the correct mile 0T Sedan that I purchased the previous week on Carvanas website. The vehicle was in the shop since 6/30. The odometer didn't even say the correct mileage when the car was delivered. On 6/25 I called Carvana to report that there is a knocking noise in the front of the car and I'd like to get it looked at. Carvana advised me to take it to the dealer. On Thursday I went to the VW mechanic in Watertown, MA. They advised me that they did not have a loaner and if I bring it in the following day (Friday) they would probably have it all weekend, so they advised I bring it in first thing Monday morning. At this time the car would officially be out of the on the 7th day, no questions asked return policy. However, I knew there was an issue on day 2. That means this car did not pass the guaranteed 150 point inspection. When I called carvana they instructed me to call silver rock to arrange the repairs. Once the car was at the dealer they were informed of a brake issue. Upon hearing this they told me I would be responsible for the brake pads. I immediately reached out to carvana to discuss this stating this is how they gave the car to me and it's absurd that I would be expected to cover anything. The next week when I went to pick up the car I was informed that although they had completed the brakes they were waiting on silver rock to confirm whether or not they would be approving removal of the transmission because there was an issue with the axle and transmission and they couldn't figure it out until they remove the transmission. I decided at that point that since they put my safety at risk with bad brakes and a transmission issue it would be in my best interests to return the car. I've been paying for insurance on the car because at some point I'd have to pick it up for the return and legally myself and the mechanic wouldn't be able to drive/park it without insurance. But I have not driven the car since day 6. $270 for insurance and the second payment has been made because they haven't picked up the car. Multiple returns were scheduled. The first 2 times were cancelled because silver rock had not paid the mechanic therefore if I were to pick it up I would have been responsible for the costs. Then they scheduled 2 subsequent returns without contacting me. The money and inconvenience have taken a toll on me and my wallet. I am unable to even think about purchasing another car until I get the financial aspect of this disaster resolved because they have not dissolved the loan and they say they can't until the car is in their possession. 6/22 I retrieve the vehicle from Boston Volkswagen, however I was charged $234. I immediately get on the phone with carvana and they conference in silver rock. No one seems to know why I paid. Now I have to print and submit a reimbursement form. They will review within 5 days, then they will issue a checks within 10-14 days so those are more funds tied up. Carvana scheduled a pick-up without my knowledge. When carvana arrived to pick up the vehicle they asked me to sign paperwork stating that I've received a refund (I haven't), that I would waive damages, shipping fee, taxes and registration. I only drove the car for 6 days, and when I spoke to Joey initially he said that I would be getting a full refund. After putting my safety at risk, taking time off of work, as well as the financial stream and stress they refused to take the car back. DO NOT RECOMMEND Carvana! More
