I had a great experience with Carvana. Since it is so easy to look up cars on the internet, that was comprable (to cars.com, etc), but Carvana was the one that had the Prius V that we wanted, and at a lo easy to look up cars on the internet, that was comprable (to cars.com, etc), but Carvana was the one that had the Prius V that we wanted, and at a low mileage. I was allowed to reserve it with my credit card even before it went through inspection, which was great. I really enjoyed being able to do all of the paperwork from home, on my own time, instead of spending all day at a dealership. The process was clear, and the staff was helpful. The 7 day returnable period is great and made me feel relaxed about not being able to test drive it ahead of time. All the staff I worked with were great and friendly and helpful. I was referred to Carvana by a friend and I am already recommending it to others! A few hiccups: 1) I had to sign the paperwork over and over again. That was unclear. One reason my delivery was delayed was because it said it was waiting for my signature, although I had signed it after my most recent updates to the date, etc. 2) The robot text answerer is not very helpful. A real person always got to me eventually, but in reality, I would rather just wait for a response that get those misleading robot responses. 3) As someone else noted, they found an issue with my car on the day it was supposed to be delivered. Not a huge deal (they refunded me $25 for each day it was delayed), but what is up with the 150 pt inspection? She identified the swirly scratches on the car as it was being loaded onto the truck. I am grateful she caught it, and did her job really well, she gets a commendation. But why wasn't that caught earlier in the 150 pt inspection? 4) The delivery day got delayed three times, which caused many hours on the phone with my insurance changing the active date. 5) It says somewhere to make the insurance day active three days early, but elsewhere it doesn't seem to require that. This messaging should be clearer. 6) Juan, who delivered the car, was lovely, but he was very late, because he didn't leave until he heard from me that morning. I was attending synagogue and didn't have my phone with me. Nowhere was it made clear to me that I would need to answer the phone that morning in order to receive my car on time. If that is the case, it needs to be communicated clearly that you will need to answer your phone that morning, from an unfamiliar number. If that is not a requirement, then Juan should have left even though I didn't answer the phone. He also didn't text or leave a message, so I didn't even know to call back, once I did look at my phone. More
A very easy process and was in bed on a Sunday evening finalizing paperwork. So much better than the traditional way of buying a car. Typically when you buy a car you get to drive away with it, so you miss the instant gratification but I found exactly what I wanted, so much better than the local one I was about the sign the papers on. I had to wait 7 days for the delivery and it did get delayed by 2 days, bummer. Although disappointing I don't fault Carvana, it was in NY coming to TX and even though automated the messaging showed genuine disappointment and was extremely apologetic. So almost perfect but certainly will not affect my decision to use them again in the future. More

I purchased a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon from Carvana. Carvana bought my second car, 2018 Hyunday Tucson. Both transactions went extremely smooth in the research, selection, purchase, financing and documentation phases of the process. The area that had some weakness was the delivery piece. I was told that my delivery would be on the 24th of April, and I was called the Carvana office in Birmingham, AL to change the date to the 27th due to lack of delivery drivers. On the 24th I called Carvana because my date on the system still showed delivery on that date. When the central office rep contacted Birmingham to clarify the matter I was told that my delivery had been pushed back to the 7th of May. After venting some frustration, and explaining to the central rep that I was already paying interest on the new car loan I got the date back to the 27th. This is the only reason I give only 4 stars. Anyway... This is the way I will buy/sell cars from now on. No dealer pressure, gimmicks, hours on end waiting on stuff at the dealership.... My deal, on my time, the way I wanted it.
