I figured since it is 2021 I might as well try the whole buying a vehicle online thing to save myself the hassle of wasting time at a dealership, proving that I have negotiation skills. Big mistake. The Jeep Grand Cherokee that Carvana listed on the website was supposed to be a 3.0L diesel. It wasn't; it is a 3.6L gas engine, but I can live with that. It didn't have the features listed on the website either. Getting Carvana to work with Bank of America, on a pre-approved loan mind you, was a nightmare. It is like nobody at Carvana had ever dealt with a third party lender before. I had to get Carvana back on track to get the loan process moving again, on a Saturday no less. I had to wait on the phone three separate times for no less than 30 minutes each time to talk to a customer service rep because, as of this review six weeks after I initially "purchased" the vehicle, I have NEVER received contact initiated by anyone from Carvana. Carvana claimed the holdup was on BOA's end. It wasn't, Carvana didn't do their end of the paperwork correctly. The vehicle arrived via third party, because I was out of Carvana's delivery area, three weeks after I initiated the buy. Carvana notified me by text two days AFTER I took delivery that the vehicle was on its way. The seat cracks were FULL of dog hair and solidified soda, the interior door handles were covered in ground-in dirt and grease, and there was a smeared muddy footprint on the back off the front console. When I lifted up the seat bottoms to inspect it, the carpet was COVERED in dog hair, I found a bank deposit receipt, a nail file, and a pair of sunglasses. Basically, the tech in charge of inspecting and/or cleaning the interior for Carvana did a quick once-over, I guess thinking nobody would ever look under the seats. It is a used vehicle so I don't expect others to care for their stuff like I do, but really Carvana? I tell everybody that asks about it the story of the nightmare that is purchasing from Carvana and I show them the pictures I took after having the vehicle in my possession for an hour. Save yourself the hassle, go spend half a day down at a dealership dealing with those ridiculous games, because at least you get an HONEST look at these vehicle before you decide to buy it. Or try another one of those other online dealers. Nobody out there can be as bad as Carvana. More

I still can't believe I bought a car online. The whole process was smooth, only a delay with the delivery in which they're compensating me for every day it was late. At first my fiancé and I were skeptical..but honestly it’s been a really great experience. I feel like I didn’t have someone at a dealership trying to shove a deal down my throat. They simply delivered t it’s been a really great experience. I feel like I didn’t have someone at a dealership trying to shove a deal down my throat. They simply delivered the vehicle we liked, answered any questions we had, and then we had 7 days to decide if we liked it. We ended up loving our truck, and kept it! Everything was really easy to do, paper work and all. Only thing I was confused about was why I had to get insurance on the vehicle prior to delivery, because we didn’t know if we would like it upon arrival. Other than that, it was a great experience and we will probably do it again in the future if we have any more car needs! More
