Be careful & search for real independent online reviews. Started simple, filled out basics, got ok rate considering, uploaded basic proofs, got contracts & delivery confirmations in under an hour. Followed the next day or so with now is the time to buy insurance prompts. Then it started... Lots of hoops and delays, no matter what they send you or confirmations don’t count on anything or pay a deposit on any non refundable insurance until it’s in front of your home. Terrible customer service, almost impossible to get a human, no internal complaint system if you feel an individual has made a mistake on your account. My dad is an old retired guy with subpar credit but guaranteed retirement income, we thought it’d be easier under current conditions to go this route... not so much. Last minute cancellation and delays means he will spend Christmas alone because he can’t travel. For reference he was purchasing a $12k minivan not a $60k vehicle. My dad’s crappy interest rate is his own making but the zero accountability policy on their end with no answers is the norm. Thanks carvana! More
Process was easy but, there were 3 delays in receiving the vehicle. Once the vehicle arrived, I noticed that it was not very clean, as if it had been clean in a hurry. Overall, I like my car. I did feel like I possibly paid more than what it was worth but I couldn't beat the convenience of it. The only thing that really annoyed me was that when I received my car, there more than what it was worth but I couldn't beat the convenience of it. The only thing that really annoyed me was that when I received my car, there was a huge imperfection on the bumper (it looked like the top coat was melting off) that was never disclosed. They took a picture and submitted it to get fixed which was great, it took the repair company over a week to fix it. In the meantime, they said that they would pay for a rental. Well little did I know, that there was a cap for how much the would reimburse me for the rental. The rental ended up being hundreds of dollars because 1. I had it for over a week and 2. I am 24 so renting a car is more expensive. I ended up having to pay out of pocket, hundreds of dollars for a rental that I only needed because Carvana jacked up my car in the first place. More
I do not know where to begin. My first contact associate told I would be able to pick up my vehicle in 3 days. However they did not tell me that using the bank transfer of funds versus paying with a paper c told I would be able to pick up my vehicle in 3 days. However they did not tell me that using the bank transfer of funds versus paying with a paper check would take 5 business days. I found this out talking to a 2nd associate was in a different dept. and did not know all the procedures. Why was that person answering the info. line? The delivery date changed at least 3 times even after the site kept telling me my funds had been verified. I have never had these issues at a conventional dealer. I did not like being passed off so many times, nor did I appreciate the lack of personal care for a $40,000 purchase. From first contact to vehicle pick-up was nine days. The next series of disappointments came at vehicle pick-up. There were prep items that were not completed. Water spots on the outside, label adhesive on the inside of the windshield, floor mats not installed properly and a few others. I told Riley that I was going to take the car to an authorized Chevy dealer to have it inspected. On the drive to the dealer, at interstate speeds, there was tire vibrations. After the inspection, the Walker Chevrolet service rep. told me that 3 of the four tires were out of balance and that one of the wheels had a small bend. I paid for the tire balancing and drove home. The vibrations were gone. I called Caravana to report these issues and was handed off to the third party warranty rep. who proceeded to begin telling me of a whole host of forms, photos and other documents that I needed to provide to an on-line site before they could even begin to resolve the previously mentioned problems. Very impersonal service for that size retail purchase. Needless to say, my frustrations with your process has somewhat spoiled the excitement of purchasing my dream car. How can Carvana make this right? I don't want a refund, but good customer service after the sale is essential. Jon Paul Hooper More
