Verna was such a great ambassador for Carvana! The experience was NOT CARVANA by any stretch! I really had high hopes being a friend had purchased a car through Carvana and had a nice experience. In the end, I did accept the vehicle but only after a lot of arm twisting and many phone calls. Some of there reps, for example Michelle - was OUTSTANDING! But the majority of my contacts were less than CARVANA.. It felt like they were reading from a script, and didn't want to deviate. In the end, Carvana is attempting to correct the issues; car was not detailed as promised, oil had not been changed, alignment was off, over spray on windows, paint drips on the hood, etc. One of the reps even made a mistake when I called in to confirm my order and inadvertently rescheduled the car for a day later. If it was not for Michelle providing STELLAR customer service to make this purchase right - I would have rejected the car. Thanks Michelle for understanding the value and importance of customer service. More

To be clear, I am reviewing HQ in this review and NOT the Gaithersburg vending machine - everything was great there. A few issues: - We received less than 24 hours notice that our car could "not be found Gaithersburg vending machine - everything was great there. A few issues: - We received less than 24 hours notice that our car could "not be found" in the NJ detailing center. To get the car on time, we had to drive to the dealership instead of leveraging the delivery service. - Our first car smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it's very clear in the 150 inspection report that an "odor test" is conducted on the car - I had a Carvana associate corroborate the smell and that it was strong. I have no clue how the car passed the inspection test, and how this would not even be noted as a defect in the listing. Thankfully, we were able to exchange the car for one that we now like, but based on the inspection test that is supposed to be conducted, the smell should've been disclosed to us. If it was, we would've found another car that met our needs. Instead, we had to deal with an exchange. - It was not clear in pickup instructions that BOTH parties on the car purchase papers would need to be present. Thankfully, my wife was able to also get off of work to pick up the car, but it was only after the vending machine agent called me and made sure that she was coming. More

The delivery of the vehicle was delayed on two separate occasions. I was not told the reason for the delay either time. On arrival, the vehicle's air conditioner did not work. I'm not super happy and I would like the vehicle's air conditioner fixed. The car was overpriced to begin with. More
