The process to buy the car was simple and the employees are really accessible and really easy to deal with. A delivery date was set, but then pushed back which was fine. Well, that wasn’t the case. The car arrived damaged. There was a considerable amount of damage not noted on the front bumper and on the front right rim. I did notice this on delivery in which pictures were taken and reported. Carvana has been excellent in response time and covering the claim. The issue at hand is the time and effort I have to put in to get this fixed. I had to take the car to an auto body shop quickly with a 30 day window to het this fixed. Therefore I had to take time off work to get the estimate. I now have to go back to the body shop to leave my car for a week to get this repair done. Nothing has been offered by Carvana for the inconvieniences that have come my way dealing with the issues that have happened while the car was in Carvana’s possession. It has been my expense for transport to and from the body shop and Uber rides all over town. It is an expense I did not anticipate on top of purchasing the vehicle. More
Bit of a headache around the holidays I purchased my 2017 VW Tiguan on 12/10/19 from Carvana. Having purchased my previous car from them in the past, I thought why not do it again. While I I purchased my 2017 VW Tiguan on 12/10/19 from Carvana. Having purchased my previous car from them in the past, I thought why not do it again. While I love my new vehicle, the first 11 days have been a headache. The car was delivered with an unfortunate gash/cut into the rear passenger tire fender flare, that was caused by I guess either the car being moved onto the delivery truck or something? I don't even know fully, because they didn't really tell me exactly what happened. In addition to that, my car was missing its front license plate bracket. Due to me living in Virginia, the commonwealth requires one... Carvana knew where the car was going and in which state it was being sold, this is something they could have easily installed prior to delivery. But now, not only did I have to spend time that I cannot get back, to get estimates for these things to get fixed. I'm also wasting gas and running around trying to get it done during the holidays which is already a stressful time in and of itself. I've sent the estimates for each issue to get fixed to Carvana support/repair via email more than 2 days ago now.. and I haven't heard anything back from them yet. It's frustrating to make your customer have to basically do all the work for something they didn't even cause. And even after reaching out to the support/repairs team... I keep getting the same generic email back and no one actually letting me know things are approved or what's going on. Again, I think they just keep expecting me, the customer to try and handle all of this stuff that I didn't cause, which I find ridiculous! I'm starting to regret the purchase entirely. Also the cherry on top of all of this is there were no floor mats in the vehicle as advertised upon delivery and so they said they would order them for me, which they did. However, just got them in today... they don't even securely clip into the floor pins where the mats are supposed to click into.. the holes aren't big enough. And given all the frustration and headache dealing with the gash and front license plate bracket, I thought they'd at least order me the nice rugged "monster mats" through Volkswagen that have Tiguan on the sides for the front driver and passenger side mats. But no, these are cheap aftermarket carpet ones... it's ridiculous. Also some minor miscellaneous things I've noticed of course after my 7th day for return are; the rear passenger side overhead interior light is broken/doesn't work, the day time running (DLR) indicator light on the dash doesn't illuminate when they are on. The car makes a weird loud humming noise when you hover around 75mph, to name a few... So to say the least, I don't feel very valued as a customer right now. Its been a very big headache so far... The whole progress was super easy! The gentleman who delivered my car was extremely helpful and patient. He actually helped me set up the Bluetooth with my phone. Wonderful experience! Simple easy process that you can do from the comfort of your own home. We opted to make the drive to Nashville to drop the coin and experience the vending machine drop of the vehicle. V from the comfort of your own home. Fantastic! The process was very easy and comfortable. Im not big on tv, social media and buying from the internet but I can say its legit and I am very happy. The delivery driver katie was amazing. She called to give me updates because niagara falls,ny experienced bad weather the day of my delivery. When she arrived she said hello with a smile and started the process with excitment.
