Ryan and his team really do go above and beyond to ensure that my vehicle's needs are always taken care of and in a timely fashion. I receive constant updates whenever i'm there and never feel like i'm in the dark about why something is being done or needs to be done, and the costs are explained right away so there's no surprises. Normally something like taking your car in for service would seem like such a hassle, but for as long as i've had my vehicles with FVVW (on my second vehicle now and have been with them since 2007) i've never had that feeling of dread that something is going to take a lengthy time to get completed and that i'm going to pay thru the nose. The staff over there are very considerate of my time, and i've also never had an issue of getting a loaner if needed. In short, i would highly recommend FVVW and Ryan Hutter and his team for all of your VW service needs. More

Rude people I just called service department and I asked if they fix/replace tires. I told them that I have "wheel & tire" warranty , and I have a claim number as I just called service department and I asked if they fix/replace tires. I told them that I have "wheel & tire" warranty , and I have a claim number as well. I just asked if he can check over the phone with that insurance company if I can have my tire replace at this location. Guy I spoke to literally yelled at me saying he can't cause he have to make money and he is not sure that insurance company will pay him for the service. I leased my Vw at this dealership and I purchased that "wheel and tire" warranty at the same dealership. And they said they can't help me. I called another VW dealer in Glenview. Same conversation with service manager, and my new tire is on the way. They will call me when it arrive. More
Worst Car-Buying Experience Ever ABSOLUTELY the biggest car-buying mistake I've ever made is 1) Buying a VW and 2) Buying it from this dealership. I bought a 2014 Passat Wolfsburg Edi ABSOLUTELY the biggest car-buying mistake I've ever made is 1) Buying a VW and 2) Buying it from this dealership. I bought a 2014 Passat Wolfsburg Edition 18 months ago. When I test drove the car, the brakes squeaked like crazy. The salesman said "don't worry about it - we'll take care of it". After COUNTLESS trips to the dealership, BS answers and frustrating phone calls, they literally handed me a brochure and said "this is normal brake operation - these brakes are not defective". I traded in a 10 yr old Ford Escape with 150K miles and the brakes worked GREAT! I spent HOURS on the phone with various unhelpful people and finally had to contact the owner of the dealership who was able to get my car serviced properly and the brake squeak to stop. Fast forward another 8 months or so ... I've paid down the loan on my car as quickly as possible so I can get out from under this car (the resale on these cars SUCKS!) After a few trips to other dealerships over the weekend, I was told repeatedly that my car is part of the Takeda air bag recall and cannot be sold retail and must be wholesaled and therefore is worth considerably less on trade. I called VW Schumburg and asked for help\advice. The Service Manager (Ken) 0literally told me "I don't know anything about that, you should just call around to dealerships until you find one that will take it on trade" - So I demanded to speak with someone in charge. John Gomes (New car manager?) got on the phone. Extremely condescending - and told me basically that the only way he would help me is if I trade in my car for another VW from their dealership! HAHAHA! I would rather WALK the 20 miles to work every day! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - Once they sell you a car - they will NOT stand behind it!!! Update: Just prior to posting this review, I did receive a call from Frank the GM who told me that my mistake was not calling him first. LOL, you would think he should be able to count on his other people in charge to answer questions a bit more professionally. He told me to bring the car in for an "assessment" so they can make me an offer to buy it from me. I am anticipating a wasted trip, but will give them one last chance. Never, ever EVER will I buy another VW and certainly never from this dealership. You've lost a customer forever. More

Horrible experience with the service department I almost never write reviews, but this has been the worse experience I have ever had with a dealer (and I have dealt with many of them!). I brought my car because my A/C comprenssor was not working. I told them that I had gone to Jiffy Lube previously to refill the A/C but they were not be able to make it because the comprenssor was broken). The person who assisted me just said: 'That is because they do not know how to do it'. I left my car there and after 45 min they called me and said that they tried to recharge the A/C but it was not working because of the comprenssor... They made me pay $355 for hearing what I had already said. Also they told me that replacing the comprenssor was $1,800 while other dealers gave me a budget of $800 for the same work... I just feel my money has been stolen here so I do not recommend this place at all. More
