I purchased a pre-owned Lexus on Dec. 21st, 2024 and about a week after ownership I learned there was an issue with the AC system not changing functions (recycle/fresh air, and vent locat 21st, 2024 and about a week after ownership I learned there was an issue with the AC system not changing functions (recycle/fresh air, and vent location). I reached out to my salesman Ruben who told me to bring the car back in. I live 2.5 hrs. out of town so that was going to be difficult to do given my work schedule. I bought an extended warranty through the dealership and proposed that I get it fixed locally and Cavender just pays the deductible. Seemed like a very reasonable proposal given the time it will take me to make two trips up there for this, plus less costs on their side for the repair. Ruben was going to ask management and get back to me. Weeks went by and no word, so I reached out to two different sales managers, the last being Phillip Rodriguez, who said he understood my situation and would see what he could do and call me back the following Monday. I never heard back from him, and after countless phone calls for WEEKS I decided to reach out to Patrick Callahan. I called every other day, explaining my situation to the front desk, asked to leave hand written messages, all this.... for about two weeks, but he would never answer the phone and his voicemail always full. I finally emailed him on Feb. 5th to which I still have not received a response or phone call....nothing. So here I am, completely frustrated by a group of people who were very happy to sell me a car and tell me how fantastic their dealership is and NOBODY will return a phone call, much less answer it when called, or return an email. After the first couple of weeks of this ridiculousness, I decided it was not even about the deductible anymore... I'm not broke, but it's more about the principle of this whole situation. What kind of after-sale service is this? I will never do business with this dealership again obviously, but this whole thing just leaves me baffled..... Joel’s description of the vehicle and the videos he sent were both honest and accurate. I thought their offer for my trade in was very fair. With me being an out of town client, I fully expected delivery to take several days to arrange, but Joel began making arrangements to deliver the car that day before I could even finish e-signing everything! Even with that, I was expecting a driver or porter to deliver the vehicle, nope, Joel and his wife drove 3 + hours to deliver my vehicle. I was blown away and absolutely LOVE my new vehicle, it was exactly what my wife and I were looking for.
