Everyone one at the dealer we talked to seemed to be nice, but the price for my 2011 Traverse trade-in was ridiculous. The Traverse only has around 25k miles on it. BUT it was in a car accident so it ha nice, but the price for my 2011 Traverse trade-in was ridiculous. The Traverse only has around 25k miles on it. BUT it was in a car accident so it had a "bad" carfax, which I understand hurts its resale value. So I was interested that day to buy a new car from anywhere until I did more research on my cars value myself. But the next week when I went to a different dealer (Jeep this time), they offered me about 10k more for my Traverse than what Downs did. As I was curious about my "bad" car fax, the salesman I worked with told me that the car most likely will be shipped to mexico due to that fact it was a in very minor cosmetic accident. I would recommend this dealer as far as their service ( I can't guarantee that since I didn't spend no more than 45 mins there). But for their pricing my experience wasn't satisfying. More
I built a new Ford Edge online, and did my research regarding pricing. Showed up at Downs Ford and after walking the lot, ended up finding exactly what I wanted (plus the Ford Touch system, which wasn regarding pricing. Showed up at Downs Ford and after walking the lot, ended up finding exactly what I wanted (plus the Ford Touch system, which wasn't a must have, but very happy I got it). Well, after talking with Frank (part owner & Sales manager), he hooked me up with Shannon, who put together the paperwork, and I got my new Edge for exactly what I wanted to pay. and got the trade-in value that I expected. No hassles at all. When I came back the next week to pick up my registration and plates, they had included the CD I left in my trade-in. That was very nice of them. Overall, a great experience, and obviously a family operation. More
The sales rep. showed no interest in selling us a car what so ever. It's not like the were busy. The sales rep. (who name he never gave) kept telling me "yea you dont want that". We bought a new Escape for our daughter....our experience with the Downs Ford staff was nothing short of spectacular! It really was a pleasure to deal with everyone...how often can you say that about a car d with the Downs Ford staff was nothing short of spectacular! It really was a pleasure to deal with everyone...how often can you say that about a car dealer? Jonathan, Antonio, Big John and Frank were among the most friendly, courteous and straight-forward people we have ever dealt with. My experience with Down's Ford began 5 years ago when I was looking to purchase a brand new Mustang. I came to Down's Ford because I learned of their Motorsports Department, which made it possible for me was looking to purchase a brand new Mustang. I came to Down's Ford because I learned of their Motorsports Department, which made it possible for me to customize my Mustang with Ford Racing parts to help make my car be unique and perform better. During that process Rick was extremely helpful in explaining the options that were available to me that would allow me to keep my warranty. Even then, I knew my long term goal would be to add a supercharger to my Mustang and that Rick would be the first person I called once my warranty was up. Rick was extremely helpful in explaining all of my questions about the supercharger kit I was looking to purchase and the install process. Based on my previous experience, I knew my Mustang was in safe hands and the job would be done right. Even during the 2 day install process, Rick kept me up to date on their progress which I greatly appreciated. Words can not explain how pleased I was with how well the car performed during my ride home. I have walked out of Downs Ford 2 different times when I have walked out of Downs Ford 2 different times when they changed the monthly payment of 2 cars we were looking at. [the last time we were there 3 I have walked out of Downs Ford 2 different times when they changed the monthly payment of 2 cars we were looking at. [the last time we were there 3 hours before the 'change'!!] my son spent a week and a half dealing with them and got a rough ballpark figure. i went there and they ran my credit. i have great credit so no problem. the $$$ they quoted my son were what i was approved for. AFTER THE 3RD HOUR THEY CAME TO ME AND SAID THERE IS A PROBLEM. WE MISUNDERSTOOD YOUR DOWN PAYMENT!!! WE THOUGHT YOU HAD blah blah blah...... NOW BETWEEN TRADE IN AND $$$ ON HAND IT WAS A 10K TRADE IN. we just got a cashier check of $7500 filled out to them, my sons trade in was $2200 and after 3 hours they want to change??!!??. we walked out and WENT TO WEISLEDER. I should of learned the 1st time with DOWNs. My wife and I just bought our 4th car at WEISLEDER. We bought a Mazda 3, a Mercury Mariner, a Lincoln Mark LT truck, and now a Ford Fusion. Next year when my wife will get her new vehicle there will only be 1 place i will head to, Weisleder. Everyone there are friendly and helpful. It made car buying a pleasure. PLUS THE PRICE THEY QUOTE WILL BE THE PRICE YOU PAY--NOT LIKE DOWNS!!! More
