Noise on rear tire or brakes. I felt something rubbing in the rear of my Fusion hybrid which got worse when I applied the brakes. I took it to Chapman for service. They told me it would be about 24 hours until they could look at it. After I heard nothing well after that.i texted them (they told me to text). I heard that their system was down and the car would be looked at first thing the next morning. I did not hear anything and texted them at 9:45 AM. They did not answer my text for over an hour. I called and they told me the technician was looking at it. They called me back later and told me there was dried mud which had caked and they would remove it. More
Incompetent Soooo, initially I dropped off my vehicle for body work due to an accident. When I went to pick it up, I had to leave it there because the key wouldn't come out of the ignition. While my car was getting worked on for the ignition, I received a call that the steering wheel tilt lever was broken in the process. So, obviously, my car was stuck there longer. Finally, I get a call yesterday that my car was completed. I went this morning to pick it up. I went to the cashier to pay my bill and they bought out my car. And, once again, I had to leave it there again due to the fact that one of the original problems (trunk door wouldn't close properly due to getting hit in the back) wasn't resolved in the first place. More

Bad first timer impression. I took my CC in for an oil leak. They promised I’d have it back in a week. Got it back an extra week after that. Wasn’t really too bothered by that as I took my CC in for an oil leak. They promised I’d have it back in a week. Got it back an extra week after that. Wasn’t really too bothered by that as long as they fixed it. Spent $2000 for this fix ($143 for the rental insurance). Two days later the same “Turn Engine Off” message comes back on so I call and let them know. They say bring it back Monday. At this point I’m satisfied that there is no leak but I’d like for them to check up on the sensor. Took it back bright and early Monday morning, they never looked at it. WHAT?! Let them keep it Tuesday. STILL never looked at it!!! This is the part that makes me an unhappy customer. When someone spends $2000 in your establishment and the problem is not 100% fixed, you put them at the top of the list, not on the back burner. The sensor sits right in the front of the car under the oil filter. They could have checked that out for me. Regardless of how many mechanics they were short, I feel as though my car should’ve been looked at within those days it was returned. I ended up taking my car. I’m just not satisfied with how they handled me as a first time VW owner and customer. More

Repeated failures This was a scheduled appointment to remediate issues created by your staffs past errors. The original appointment was weeks ago, but you were unable t This was a scheduled appointment to remediate issues created by your staffs past errors. The original appointment was weeks ago, but you were unable to accommodate the van to fix the errors until now. They incorrectly serviced the brakes on our last appointment. (This was the second time, on this vehicle that we had the same service failure.) I came up for the appointment with my small child, and was told it would be an hour and a half before anyone could LOOK at my van to see what was wrong. I clearly stated the issue was due to the backing plates on the brakes creating the noise. The advisor also stated the other concerns were not noted anywhere in the system and the notes for this visit were very vague, even though I was assured by the assistant service manager that everything would be handled efficiently and without the confusion we dealt with on past visits. After waiting, I was informed that it was in fact what i stated, backing plates, but not on the wheels originally serviced (the rear brakes). The front brakes were apparently "inspected" during the first visit, and were effected at that time. Per the advisor it was a very quick fix. (Couple weeks = quick fix??) I collected the vehicle, waiting a good ten minutes for it to be pulled from the back lot, and lot. Best part, the brakes still periodically make the noise, so the issue is still not resolved. More
