I would like to take this time to thank the staff in the auto body department. I'm from Canada and had an incident in Montana during the Chrismas holidays. On Dec. 21st. I drove in to Las Vegas Chapmans Dod auto body department. I'm from Canada and had an incident in Montana during the Chrismas holidays. On Dec. 21st. I drove in to Las Vegas Chapmans Dodge and I explaned to Sam Gordon (Collision Manager)my situation and when i would be returning to Canada (10 Days).His staff asured me that it would be ready. This was not your tipical fender bender. Within 5 days it was done and a job well done. I heard noises in my brakes after our rain storm. My dad is in Sunrise Hospital with pneumonia. I have been stressed and I never made an appointment. I also figured to let Chapman service the vehicle per our contract agreement. Denys got everything rolling for me. She even remembered our last name. Being Thew, it was nice that she remembered. They serviced the vehicle, washed it and had it back to me in about an hours time. Brakes were fine and I was able to get to the hospital to visit my dad with plenty of time to spare. Very efficient. I brought my 05 4x4 truck in for what I thought was warranty work under the five year bumper to bumper program. Wanted four thing's check out. The service writer called to tell me the rear main seal an warranty work under the five year bumper to bumper program. Wanted four thing's check out. The service writer called to tell me the rear main seal and the "pinion seal on the front of the engine" needed replaced. The rear seal was under warranty but the "pinion seal on the front of the engine" was not. I have a pretty good knowledge of what goes on under the hood and giving her the benefit of the doubt, I asked if she could show me the pinion seal on the front of the engine. She takes me back and the mechanic already has the transmission out when she tells me that she figured I would want the seal under warranty replaced,I never gave her an Ok to start the work! The mechanic was very polite and points out the front pinion seal on the axle!!! She tells me there is a $100 deductible for the real seal and $125 inspection charge. I tell her she never mentioned the $125 inspection charge. So im into this for $225, no big deal. She takes my up front and shows me a list of small maintenance that should be preformed. 1. New fuel filter $102 2. Replace power steering hose $212.29 3. Replace power steering rack (one seal leaking) $624.84 4. Replace motors under passenger seat $1024.65 Grand total for every thing was $4,962.13! I look at her like she's crazy and ask why they charge $102 for a $10 filter that i do for $15 bucks and takes maybe two minutes, all she can tell me is she gets it out of the book.OK fine let me know when I pick my truck up. She calls the next day and says it is ready and the total will be (drum roll please) $475.00! I ask where did she get that total from the $225 she stated before. She tells me that for each of my four concerns there is a $125 charge for EACH concern I had I tell her once again she never mentioned that when i dropped the truck off. She drops the 475 down to 300 and I couldn't wait to get my truck out of there. More
I was quite disappointed in the treatment received by my service person. As I was trying to ask pertinent questions about my vehicle, and its service history, i was "blown off" by him over talking me and service person. Also while he was over talking me I caught him in a lie and he didn't even bother to say my mistake. I think this will be my last time visiting Chapman. More

I have been going to Chapman since 1989 for service. I have never been disappointed. The work has always been right and done the first time.
