Go Elsewhere for Service We have purchased many cars (5+) from the dealer and love the sales, HATE the service managers. Many times they oversell you on services you don't ne We have purchased many cars (5+) from the dealer and love the sales, HATE the service managers. Many times they oversell you on services you don't need (flushes, filters etc.). They offer "The Works" oil changes for life which according to Ford is supposed to include tire rotation but they charge for the rotation every time. I brought my vehicle in for a repair and when I picked it up the air conditioner wouldn't work. It worked fine going in, didn't work when I picked it up. They said it was a coincidence. After much argument they graciously agreed to waive the "diagnostic fee" they wanted to charge to see why it isn't working and then when all is said and done they said the repair would be upwards of $500-600 to fix. I took to another dealer in town who fixed the problem for $79.00. Seriously??!! Both certified Ford Dealers. They have had several instances in overselling recommended flushes and filters that can't be burned through every 5000 miles. Rarely do you get in for an oil change and just leave with that. You usually are recommended to pay for something else. Mike is the worst sales person to deal with so avoid him at all costs if possible. Service Management really had no interest in looking into any concerns like above we brought them. So now even though we get "oil changes for life" we are taking our car elsewhere and paying for it. More

I very adamantly told them NOT to run it unless I was ready to buy because I didn't want my credit score messed with...why would you do that anyway?! Then the sales Manager and Finance Department said they couldn't do that and wouldn't reverse it so it ended up knocking my credit score down and it can be on my report up to two years. They lost any possibly sale or future sales from me. Went to another dealership and bought a new F-150 crew cab Lariat. More

They don't do just what you tell them to do. I brought my truck in because the brake caliper exploded. They could get me in. As it turned out due to a death in my family, I was unable to buy my car as soon as I wanted to, but David was nice enough to keep in touch with me while I dealt with family matters and told me in an email to get in touch with him as soon as I felt comfortable. He promised he would give me updates on the vehicle and would let me know if it got sold in the meantime. On December 23rd, I drove from Dubuque to Des Moines to pick up my lovely 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. David even took extra pictures of it and emailed to me. I took my trade in to a few dealerships in Dubuque, but only Gabus Ford gave me what it was worth. It was a more than fair deal, as theirs (my 2010 Jeep) booked for what they had it listed. I was in and out of the dealership in less than an hour. Everyone there was very nice and even though there was a glitch that my bank caused, the Finance Manager, Dan, was very patient and kind and called my bank and got everything straightened out. Got on the road and drove back in a terrible snowstorm and so glad I bought this Jeep. I have never had such a wonderful car buying experience and when friends and family are ready to buy, I will direct them to Gabus Ford. More
